Before downloading: check the edition and version
Minecraft Java mods and Bedrock add-ons are different file types with different installation steps. A Java .jar file is not a Bedrock or mobile install.

- Java Edition: Multiple third-party guides give Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge 1.12.2 as the Java setup. This is attributed guidance, not independently verified compatibility for every file labeled Jenny Mod.
- Bedrock or MCPE: Some third-party pages describe importing
.mcpackor.mcaddonfiles. Their exact supported versions and download provenance are not established.
A GitHub repository claims support for Java 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 as well as Bedrock/MCPE, and lists a v2.1.0 release dated September 26, 2026. The account’s relationship to the original creator has not been established, so those claims should not be treated as authoritative compatibility guidance.
How to install Jenny Mod on Minecraft Java Edition
The following sequence is the Java process described by a third-party installation guide. It has not been independently tested, and it does not establish the origin or safety of a downloaded mod file.

- Install Minecraft Java Edition 1.12.2 and Forge 1.12.2 using the matching versions.
- In the Minecraft Launcher, start the Forge profile once. Close the game after it opens so the profile and folders are initialized.
- Put the Jenny Mod
.jarin the Minecraftmodsfolder. On Windows, the guide gives%appdata%.minecraftmodsas an example path. If themodsfolder is missing, confirm that Forge has been installed and launched. - Reopen the launcher, select the Forge profile, and start the game.
If the game does not load the mod, first check that the Minecraft, Forge, and mod build versions match. A mod built for a different Minecraft version may fail to load. Compatibility beyond the 1.12.2 Java route is not established by the available third-party guidance.
Can you install Jenny Mod on Bedrock or mobile?
Some third-party guides describe a Bedrock process: import a .mcpack or .mcaddon, then enable its behavior and resource packs in the world settings. The supported versions and legitimacy of those files remain unverified, so do not assume that a file advertised for one Bedrock release will work with another.

An Android APK should not be assumed to be Jenny Mod itself. No legitimate APK distribution was verified. Avoid installing unrelated APKs or treating a Java .jar as a mobile add-on.
How to assess a Jenny Mod download
Search results include competing pages that call their own downloads official, as well as warnings about mirrors, surveys, ad-wall installers, and bundled files. Those claims do not authenticate the pages or files. No creator-controlled download origin, signed release, or verified checksum was established.

- Look for a release linked from a creator channel you can independently authenticate; a page calling itself “official” is not enough.
- Avoid downloads that require surveys, browser extensions, ad-wall installers, or unrelated software or APKs.
- Do not assume a file is safe because a download page recommends it or warns about other mirrors.
- If the creator’s connection to a download cannot be verified, the safest choice is not to install that file.
The installation guide says players need a purchased Minecraft Java Edition copy for the Java route. That is the base game, not Jenny Mod; no reliable paid Jenny Mod program or Amazon listing for the mod was established.
