For Windows 10, the Logitech G27 uses the legacy Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) 5.10 branch—not Logitech’s newer general-purpose driver package. Logitech’s compatibility documentation identifies the G27 Racing Wheel as model W-U0001 and points to LGS 5.10.127 and later for Windows 10.
Download the software from Logitech’s official G27 support and Downloads area when the installer is available. If the current product page says “There are no Downloads for this Product,” do not substitute a random driver site or assume that the newest LGS release is correct. Logitech’s legacy compatibility documentation is the important clue: look for the LGS 5.10.127 package.

Which Logitech G27 driver should you download?
The G27 does not use a modern, G27-specific Windows driver in the same way newer peripherals may. Its Windows 10 software is the legacy Logitech Gaming Software 5.10.127 or later. Logitech’s device-identification documentation places the G27 in the LGS 5.10 family and identifies it with the VID/PID suffix C29B.

Do not automatically download the current LGS release simply because it has a higher version number. Logitech’s newer LGS download page lists version 9.04.49 for Windows 10 and Windows 11, but that page does not establish that version 9.04.49 is the correct package for the G27. Newer wheels such as the G920 are associated with later software branches, while the G27 remains tied to the legacy LGS 5.10 family.

How to install the G27 software on Windows 10
- Disconnect the wheel’s USB cable. Leave the AC power adapter available, but do not connect the wheel to the computer until the installer requests it.
- Open Logitech’s official G27 Racing Wheel support page. Go to its product support and Downloads area. The page may identify the device as the G27 Racing Wheel and provide an operating-system selector.
- Select Windows 10 if the operating-system selector is shown.
- Look for Logitech Gaming Software 5.10.127, preferably the 64-bit installer. The G27’s compatibility entry points to this legacy branch. Do not use a third-party driver aggregator when the official Logitech package is the relevant software.
- Run the installer. If Windows requests administrator approval, allow the elevation and follow the setup prompts. Connect the G27’s USB cable only when the installer tells you to do so.
- Restart Windows if the installer requests it. After restarting, open Logitech Gaming Software or Logitech Profiler from the Start menu.
- Connect the power adapter and USB cable. Plug the AC adapter firmly into the wheel and directly into a working wall outlet. The G27 performs a startup self-check using its force-feedback motors.
- Test Windows detection. Press Windows + R, type
joy.cpl, and press Enter. Select the G27 if it appears, choose Properties, and test the wheel, pedals, buttons, and axes. - Configure the wheel in the racing game. LGS installation does not automatically make every game support the G27 or its force feedback. Select the G27 or configure its axes and buttons in the game’s own controller settings.
What to do if Logitech’s G27 page shows no download
Logitech’s current G27 Downloads page can display “There are no Downloads for this Product”. That does not change the compatibility information identifying LGS 5.10.127 as the relevant Windows 10 software, but it does mean you should not expect a visible installer button every time you visit the product page.
Use this order of operations:
- Start at Logitech’s official G27 Racing Wheel support page and open the Downloads section.
- Confirm that the operating system is set to Windows 10.
- Search Logitech’s support documentation for the G27 compatibility entry and LGS 5.10.127.
- Only use an installer obtained from an official Logitech source or an official Logitech-hosted legacy software page.
- Do not install a package for a different wheel merely because it is newer or easier to find.
If Logitech no longer exposes the installer in your region or page state, the safest answer is not to download an unverified “G27 driver” from a third-party driver site. The G27 is old hardware and unofficial driver packages can be mislabeled, modified, or bundled with unwanted software.
Installing LGS 5.10 alongside a newer Logitech Gaming Software version
Logitech documents a specific compatibility issue for computers that already contain another LGS generation. LGS 5.10 can coexist with a later LGS version, but Logitech’s recommended installation order is to install LGS 5.10 first, then install the later version.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIf the G27 is not recognized after you install or update Logitech software, a clean reinstall may help:
- Disconnect the G27.
- Uninstall the existing Logitech Gaming Software versions from Settings > Apps > Installed apps or Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Restart Windows.
- Install LGS 5.10.127 first.
- Restart again if prompted and test the G27.
- Only then reinstall a later LGS version if you genuinely need it for another supported Logitech device.
Do not remove working Logitech software solely to follow this procedure if you use several devices and have no detection problem. A clean reinstall is most useful when the G27 is missing, the installer has been interrupted, or different LGS generations have been installed in the wrong order.

Windows 11: will the G27 work?
Logitech’s cited wheel-compatibility table documents Windows 8 and Windows 10, not Windows 11. Therefore, the G27 should not be described as officially supported on Windows 11 based on that table alone.
Some Windows 11 systems may run LGS 5.10.127, but legacy driver components can be blocked by Windows security features such as Memory Integrity, also known as HVCI. This is a compatibility issue, not proof that a different random driver is needed.

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchTry these safer steps first
- Install all available Windows updates.
- Disconnect the wheel, restart Windows, and try a different USB port.
- Perform a clean LGS reinstall, installing the 5.10 branch before any later LGS version.
- Use the official Logitech package rather than a third-party driver utility.
- Check whether Windows names a specific legacy Logitech driver as the component that cannot load.
If Windows specifically reports that the G27 driver is incompatible with Memory Integrity, disabling that protection may allow the legacy component to load—but it reduces system security. Treat this as a last-resort, user-considered workaround rather than a normal installation step. Do not disable Windows security protections casually, especially on a system used for sensitive accounts or work. When practical, Windows 10 is the better-documented target for this wheel.
Fixes when Windows does not recognize the G27
1. Power-cycle the wheel
Disconnect both the G27’s USB cable and AC adapter. Wait approximately 30 seconds. Reconnect the AC adapter first, then try the wheel through a different USB port. Logitech recommends this sequence in its G27 calibration guidance.
Make sure the power adapter is connected securely to the wheel and directly to a working wall socket. USB power alone is not enough for the G27’s force-feedback motors.

- PREMIUM BUILD: Look, feel and durability of a real race car wheel, pedals and shifter. Wheel cover, knob and boot are covered in high-quality, hand-stitched leather with a solid steel gear shaft and polished metal pedals
2. Try a different USB port
Connect the wheel directly to the computer rather than through a hub, extension, or monitor. If the wheel is not detected, try another USB port and then repeat the power-cycle procedure.
3. Check the hardware identity
Logitech identifies the G27 Racing Wheel as model W-U0001. Its LGS 5.10 device-identification list uses the C29B VID/PID suffix for the G27. These identifiers can help distinguish the wheel from a G25, G920, or another Logitech device when troubleshooting.
4. Use Logitech’s WheelDriverCleaner when appropriate
If connecting the wheel causes a blue screen or the G25/G27 remains unrecognized, Logitech provides a WheelDriverCleaner procedure. Disconnect the wheel, download and run Logitech’s cleaner, close the cleaner, and reconnect the wheel. Use the official Logitech procedure rather than deleting unrelated Windows drivers manually.
5. Check Device Manager only after the basic steps
Right-click Start and open Device Manager. Look under categories such as Human Interface Devices and Sound, video and game controllers for an unknown device or a Logitech wheel entry. A warning icon can indicate a failed or blocked legacy driver, but Device Manager alone cannot turn an unsupported software version into a G27-compatible one.

- The AC adapter is connected directly and securely.
- The wheel completes its startup self-check when powered.
- The G27 appears in
joy.cpland its axes respond in Properties. - Force feedback is enabled in the game’s controller settings.
- The individual game and platform support USB racing wheels and the relevant force-feedback features.
Logitech states that game and platform support is required. Installing LGS does not guarantee force feedback in every racing title. Some games may require a specific controller preset, manual axis assignment, or a separate in-game force-feedback setting.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. The shift-indicator LEDs do not work
The G27’s shift-indicator LEDs depend on the game supplying the appropriate RPM information. Logitech therefore treats LED behavior as game-dependent. If the wheel, pedals, and buttons work but the LEDs remain off, check the game’s G27 support, telemetry, and LED settings before reinstalling the software.
How to recalibrate an inaccurate G27
The G27 calibrates when it is connected and powered. If the center point or pedal range is inaccurate:
- Update or reinstall the Logitech software.
- Disconnect both the USB cable and AC adapter.
- Wait approximately 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the AC adapter.
- Connect the wheel through a different USB port.
- Allow Windows to create a new calibration profile.
- Test the result in
joy.cpl, then recalibrate or assign ranges inside the game if necessary.
If the wheel cannot complete its startup movement, check the power adapter and mechanical obstruction before assuming the problem is software.
Should you buy a replacement G27 or power adapter?
If the wheel is not detected after a correct LGS 5.10 installation, power-cycle, alternate USB port, and cleaner procedure, the problem may be hardware rather than a missing driver. A Logitech G27 Racing Wheel can be a reasonable used-market replacement option, but inspect the wheel, pedals, shifter, cables, and power supply carefully. It is replacement hardware—not a driver download—and availability and condition vary.
Be especially cautious with replacement power adapters. Before buying a G27 replacement power adapter, match the voltage, connector, polarity, electrical requirements, and regional plug standard to the original unit. The reviewed Logitech troubleshooting material confirms that the adapter is essential but does not establish enough specifications to endorse a particular replacement listing.

Does Logitech officially support the G27 on Windows 11?
The cited Logitech compatibility table documents Windows 8 and Windows 10, not Windows 11. LGS 5.10.127 may work on some Windows 11 systems, but compatibility is not guaranteed and legacy drivers may be blocked by Memory Integrity/HVCI.
Why does Logitech say there are no downloads for the G27?
The current G27 Downloads page may no longer expose an installer even though Logitech’s compatibility documentation still identifies LGS 5.10.127 as the relevant Windows 10 software. Do not replace it with an unrelated newer-wheel package or an unverified third-party driver.
Why does my G27 work in Windows but not in a racing game?
The game must support USB racing wheels and, separately, force feedback or shift-indicator telemetry. Select the G27 in the game’s controller settings and manually assign axes or enable force feedback if the title requires it.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: On Windows 10, install the legacy Logitech Gaming Software 5.10.127 or later from Logitech’s official G27 support path, connect the wheel only when the installer requests it, power the wheel from its AC adapter, and test it with joy.cpl before configuring the game. If the official page is empty, use Logitech’s compatibility documentation to identify the correct LGS 5.10 branch—do not download an unrelated package from a third-party driver site. Windows 11 is compatibility-dependent, and disabling Memory Integrity to load a legacy driver should be considered only as a security trade-off and last resort.
