You cannot currently download an official native Android version of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. As of August 18, 2026, Bandai Namco’s official platform listings identify versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and, depending on the edition or region, Nintendo Switch—but not Android. See the official Bandai Namco listing.
Do not install APK, OBB, “mod,” or cracked-download files claiming to be the full game. They are not an official Android release and can expose your device, accounts and data to malware. If you already own Kakarot on PC or console, you can legitimately play it on Android through remote play. Cloud gaming is another possibility, but support must be confirmed for the service and your region.

Is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot officially available on Android?
No official native Android edition is listed by Bandai Namco as of August 18, 2026. The company’s platform information lists console and PC versions; its regional site also lists Nintendo Switch. Android is not included.

There is an important distinction:
- Native installation: the game runs from Android files on the phone or tablet. No official Kakarot version is currently listed this way.
- Streaming: Kakarot runs on your PC, console or a cloud server while Android receives the video and sends controller inputs.
How to play Kakarot on Android with Steam Link
This is usually the simplest option if you own the Steam version and have a Windows gaming PC. Steam lists DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT with Remote Play support on phones and tablets, and Steam Link supports Android devices. The game remains installed and runs on the computer; it is not copied to Android.
What you need
- Kakarot purchased and installed through Steam.
- A Windows PC capable of running the game.
- Steam installed, open and signed in on the PC.
- The official Steam Link app on Android.
- A controller. A Bluetooth or USB controller is strongly preferable to touch controls.
- A stable network. For local play, connect the PC and Android device to the same network; 5 GHz Wi-Fi is preferable.
Setup steps
- Buy and install Kakarot from the official Steam store.
- Launch Steam on the PC and sign in.
- Install and open Steam Link on your Android phone or tablet.
- Pair Steam Link with the computer and confirm the pairing code shown on the PC.
- Connect your controller to the Android device or host PC, depending on your setup.
- Select the computer in Steam Link and choose Start Playing.
- Open Kakarot from the Steam library.
You will see a live stream from the PC, while your controller commands travel back to it. For stuttering, reduce Steam Link’s streaming resolution or quality, move closer to the router, use 5 GHz Wi-Fi and stop other high-bandwidth activity.
Steam Link troubleshooting
- PC not found: Confirm both devices use the same network, check that Steam is open and disable router client-isolation features if enabled.
- Black screen: Restart Steam Link and Steam. You can also launch Kakarot on the PC first, then reconnect.
- No input: Pair the controller with the Android device and check Steam’s controller settings.
- Works at home but not remotely: Internet Remote Play depends on the PC’s upload connection and network configuration. Test local streaming first.
- Wrong resolution: Adjust Steam Link’s streaming settings and Kakarot’s display settings on the PC.
How to play Kakarot on Android with PS Remote Play
If you own Kakarot on PS4 or PS5, PS Remote Play can stream it to a compatible Android phone or tablet. The game must already be purchased and installed on the console.

- Install Kakarot on your PS4 or PS5.
- Sign in to the same PlayStation Network account on the console and Android device.
- Enable Remote Play in the console’s settings.
- Install and open the official PS Remote Play app on Android.
- Sign in and select PS4 or PS5, then follow the pairing instructions.
- Connect a DualShock 4, DualSense or other supported controller.
- Select Kakarot from the console interface.
For play while the console is in Rest Mode, enable the settings that keep it connected to the internet and allow it to be awakened remotely. Test on the same Wi-Fi network before using cellular data or another network. A wired Ethernet connection for the console can reduce latency. Lower the app’s video quality if mobile data is being used too quickly.

How to use Xbox Remote Play on Android
Xbox Remote Play streams games installed on your own Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S to a phone or tablet. Xbox describes the current mobile options on its official Xbox on Mobile page.
- Install Kakarot on the Xbox console.
- Open Xbox settings and enable remote features.
- Leave the console connected to power and the internet.
- On Android, open the official Xbox mobile or remote-play destination.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account used on the console.
- Select remote play and choose the Xbox console.
- Connect a compatible controller and launch Kakarot from the Xbox interface.
Remote play is not the same as cloud gaming. With remote play, Kakarot runs on your Xbox. With cloud gaming, it runs on Microsoft’s servers. A console release does not prove that Kakarot is currently included in Xbox Cloud Gaming or Game Pass. Catalogs vary by title, country, subscription plan and date, so check the live catalog before subscribing.
Can GeForce NOW play Kakarot?
Only conditionally. NVIDIA requires you to own a supported digital-store version, and buying Kakarot on Steam does not automatically guarantee GeForce NOW compatibility. Search for Kakarot inside the GeForce NOW app or live catalog and connect the relevant store account before paying for a membership.
NVIDIA’s Android guidance lists Android 7.0 or later, at least 1 GB of available memory and OpenGL ES 2.0 or higher. Its recommended network guidance includes 15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for Full HD and latency below 80 ms to a data center. NVIDIA also recommends a supported gamepad rather than relying on the Android virtual gamepad for long sessions. See the GeForce NOW system requirements and Android FAQ.

These figures apply to GeForce NOW, not automatically to Steam Link or PS Remote Play. Each service has different device, network and catalog requirements.
Why you should avoid Kakarot APK and OBB downloads
Unofficial “full version” APK pages commonly combine misleading download claims with aggressive advertising, fake verification buttons or modified files. The risks include:
- Malware, spyware or ransomware.
- Stolen Google, game or social-media credentials.
- Intrusive advertisements and unwanted apps.
- Incomplete or corrupted game data.
- Illegal redistribution of copyrighted game files.
Changing Android security settings to install an APK does not make the file legitimate. There is also no official native Android hardware specification for Kakarot because Bandai Namco has not listed a native Android edition.

Which Android method is best?

Streaming does not require the large Android storage space that a native port would need, but it does require a dependable connection. Cellular play can introduce latency and consume substantial data. A physical controller is recommended for Kakarot’s action-combat controls; touch support varies by service and is generally less comfortable for long sessions.

Important ownership and save-data limits
Remote-play apps may be free to download, but they do not provide a free copy of Kakarot. You need the game on the relevant host platform and the account that owns or can access it.
Your save remains on the host platform. Remote play does not automatically transfer a PlayStation, Xbox or Steam save to Android, and you should not assume cross-save or cross-buy between platforms. DLC entitlements are also generally platform-specific unless the publisher explicitly says otherwise.
Android TV support, controller compatibility, app availability, pricing and cloud catalogs can vary by country, device and date. Unofficial emulation is not an official Android download method; this article does not provide instructions for pirated ROMs, BIOS files or copy-protection bypasses.

Can I play Kakarot offline on Android?
No official offline Android version is currently listed. Steam Link, PS Remote Play, Xbox Remote Play and cloud services all require a network connection.

Is there a free official Android version?
No. Remote-play apps can be free, but you still need the game and the required PC or console. Cloud services may require a subscription and still depend on catalog availability.
Do I need a controller?
It is strongly recommended. Some services may offer touch controls, but a physical controller is better suited to Kakarot’s combat and exploration.
Can I transfer my save to Android?
Not through remote play. Android displays the save from the host PC or console; it does not become a separate Android save.

Is Kakarot on Xbox Cloud Gaming?
Do not assume so from the Xbox version alone. Check the current Xbox Cloud Gaming catalog for your country, plan and date.
Does GeForce NOW support Kakarot?
Confirm Kakarot in the live GeForce NOW catalog before subscribing. NVIDIA’s general requirements and ownership rules do not establish guaranteed support for this specific game.
Why is Steam Link showing a black screen?
Restart Steam Link and Steam, then try launching Kakarot on the PC before reconnecting. Also check the host display and streaming settings.
Why is Remote Play lagging?
Test on the same Wi-Fi network, prefer 5 GHz Wi-Fi, connect the host console or PC by Ethernet where possible, reduce streaming quality and avoid competing network traffic.
