There is no verified way yet to guarantee that you will find every hidden activity in GTA 6. As of October 4, 2026, the game has not been released, and public sources do not provide a complete activity checklist, confirm what can be missed, or explain the final map-tracking tools. You can still prepare a disciplined exploration plan based on the regions and activities Rockstar has publicly discussed—but treat it as a plan, not a proven completion route.

What is known about GTA 6’s open world

Rockstar places GTA 6 in the fictional state of Leonida, with Vice City among its destinations. The official GTA VI page describes Jason and Lucia’s story as a conspiracy that stretches across the state, while Rockstar’s Only in Leonida page introduces destinations and characters from the setting.

TechRadar’s October 1, 2026 coverage of Game Informer’s cover story names six primary regions: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. The report characterizes the world as Rockstar’s largest and approximately twice the size of GTA V’s, with greater density; that is a reported comparison, not an independently measured map-area figure. Read TechRadar’s report.

Those distinct settings suggest a practical way to organize exploration once the game is available: work region by region, and note both activities and environmental points of interest. Exact borders, travel times, and an optimal route have not been established publicly.

Which activities have been publicly reported?

GamesRadar’s account of a September 2026 Game Informer interview lists kayaking, zoo visits, street racing, off-road racing, wrestling, pool, mini-golf, and gyms among the activities confirmed for GTA 6. This is a selection of reported examples, not a complete inventory. The report does not establish where they occur, how they unlock, whether they are character-specific, or whether any can be missed. Read GamesRadar’s account.

TechRadar’s October 1 report also says Rockstar confirmed 170 animal species, including more than 60 bird types and more than 30 land mammals, alongside fish and reptiles. These details point to varied urban, rural, aquatic, and wetland environments, but they do not establish that wildlife sightings are collectibles or prerequisites for activities.

A practical exploration routine for launch

Use this as a personal organization method, not as a verified in-game system. Adapt it once the released game’s map, menus, and activity rules are known.

  1. Make a region list. Start with the six regions named in the October 2026 reporting: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Leave room to add locations surfaced in the game itself.
  2. Keep an activity log. For each region, record visible activities, unfamiliar points of interest, and places you want to revisit. Mark entries as found, completed, unavailable, or still unexplained; do not assume a marker means an activity is missable or complete.
  3. Vary the environments you revisit. Explore urban and rural areas, inland and ocean waters, and wetland settings. Rockstar’s art leadership has described wildlife across these types of biomes. Weather is also reported to be more localized and persistent, with conditions including showers and lightning storms, but no public source establishes that weather changes activity availability.
  4. Recheck places after story progress. The story is described as spanning Leonida, but public information does not say whether side activities unlock with story progress. Returning to a region is a cautious planning choice, not confirmation that a particular activity is gated.
  5. Wait for reliable completion evidence before treating a list as definitive. After release, a useful checklist should distinguish region and activity type, then state any verified story gate, repeatability, character requirement, equipment or timing condition, and missability. Until those details are confirmed, mark them unknown rather than guessing.

Why a no-miss route cannot be confirmed yet

Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut has described attention to rooftops, alleys, interiors, and the connections between them; TechRadar quotes him saying the world has a “hand-crafted quality to every bit.” That supports exploring beyond obvious roads and destination markers as a sensible habit, but it does not prove that every interior is accessible or contains optional content.

TechRadar also quotes Rockstar representatives describing persistent, localized weather and a broad animal ecosystem. These are pre-release descriptions, not instructions for unlocking activities. No public information cited here confirms a complete list of hidden activities or collectibles, the final map filters and tracking features, or which content is one-time, time-limited, or missable.

Rockstar currently lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and a November 19, 2026 release date on its official GTA VI page. The game is therefore still pre-release as of October 4, 2026. Recheck official information near launch; do not treat leaks, speculative maps, or unverified routes as a guarantee of completion.
