You cannot legitimately view or “find” a Roblox account’s existing password. For an account you own, use Roblox’s Forgot Password or Username? recovery flow to reset it and create a new password. If someone may have taken over the account, reset the password immediately and contact Roblox Support through its hacked-account process.
What “finding” a Roblox password actually means
Roblox does not display your current password. Account recovery replaces the forgotten password with a new one after checking a recovery method linked to the account. Password-finder websites, credential databases, exploit scripts and browser extensions cannot legitimately reveal it and may steal your account.
This guidance applies to recovering your own account. Trying to obtain another person’s password or bypass Roblox security is not legitimate and violates the responsibility account holders have to protect their credentials.
Reset a forgotten Roblox password
- Open the Roblox login page and select Forgot Password or Username?
- Submit the email address or phone information linked to the account.
- Open the official recovery message Roblox sends you and follow it to create a new password.
- Sign in with the new password and keep it private.
If you no longer control the linked email or phone, or the recovery message does not arrive, do not use a third-party “recovery” service. Move to Roblox Support instead.

Choose the right recovery route
| Situation | Official route | What it verifies or provides | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| You forgot the password and still control a linked email or phone | Roblox login page → Forgot Password or Username? | A recovery message lets you create a new password | The existing password is not shown |
| The account may have been hacked, or normal recovery fails | Roblox Support’s hacked-account process | Information for an ownership review | Roblox says supplying information does not guarantee recovery |
| You want stronger protection after regaining access | Account security settings → 2-Step Verification | An additional authenticator or supported security-key check | Losing verification methods can make recovery harder |
If your Roblox account was hacked
- Use the official password-reset flow immediately if you still control the linked email or phone.
- Use Roblox Support’s hacked-account process when the attacker changed account details, recovery fails, or you cannot access the linked method.
- Provide accurate ownership information requested by Support. Review is not a promise that the account will be restored.
- After recovery, secure the email account associated with Roblox as well, because access to that mailbox can enable another reset.
Protect the account after recovery
Enable 2-Step Verification
Turn on Roblox 2-Step Verification after you regain access. Roblox documents authenticator-app verification and instructs users never to share the generated code. A physical FIDO2 security key (also called a hardware security key) can be considered where Roblox, your device and region support it. Check current compatibility before buying one.
Keep every credential and code private
- Never give your password or 2-Step Verification code to another player, “moderator,” friend or seller.
- Do not approve an unexpected verification request.
- Use only Roblox’s own login and Support pages; treat links sent by strangers as suspicious.
- Do not install a requested screen-sharing tool, third-party app or browser extension to “verify” ownership.
Roblox states that its moderators and Customer Support will never ask for your password, 2-Step Verification code, screen share, or access through a third-party app or browser extension.

Why password-finder offers are dangerous
A service claiming it can reveal a Roblox password is asking you to surrender information or install software, not using a legitimate Roblox feature. Such offers can capture your login, verification code or session, and an attacker can then change the account’s recovery details. Close the page, remove any untrusted extension, change the password through Roblox’s official recovery flow, and contact Support if you entered credentials on it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When you lose a 2-Step Verification method
Recovery can require more than one verification method when a primary 2-Step Verification method is lost. Keep recovery methods current and preserve access to the email, phone, authenticator or supported security key attached to the account. If you lose access, use Roblox Support rather than attempting to bypass the check.
