Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteStart with the gaming convention’s official accessibility page, the venue’s accessibility and parking pages, and the local transit operator’s current information. Then confirm the exact lot or stop, the step-free route to your event entrance, pickup rules, and any advance requests or reservations. These details vary by event and can change, so verify them for your convention and dates.
Where to look for current access information
- Find the convention’s official accessibility page and contact. Check the attendee guide and event updates too: an event may publish its own shuttle stops, rideshare zones, request deadlines, or capacity limits.
- Check the venue’s accessibility and parking pages. Identify the building, hall, and entrance for your session; a large campus can have different parking and drop-off points for different locations.
- Use the local transit operator’s trip planner and accessibility information. Confirm service for your travel date, accessible vehicles and stations or stops, transfers, and any elevator status that affects your route.
- Contact the event or venue about anything unclear. Ask for the applicable instructions for your dates and access needs rather than assuming a general venue map or a past event guide still applies.
Keep the event, venue, and transit pages together: no single source necessarily covers the whole trip from origin to entrance.
How to check accessible parking and the route to the entrance
Do not stop at confirming that a venue has accessible parking. Verify the details that determine whether you can use it and reach the right entrance.
- Which lot or garage serves your event building and entrance, and where its accessible spaces are.
- Whether spaces are first-come, first-served, reservable, or otherwise limited; the event’s own instructions may differ from the venue’s general parking page.
- Parking opening and closing times, current price, payment methods, vehicle height limits, and re-entry rules, where relevant.
- The route from the space to the entrance: distance, surface, curb cuts, ramps, elevators, doors, and any temporary event-day changes.
- Whether a nearby drop-off is permitted, where it is, and whether the approach to the entrance is step-free and practical for you.
- If a wheelchair ramp or lift needs extra clearance, whether the parking operator can accommodate the space required to deploy it.
Confirm the route with the parking operator or event team if a map does not show the path clearly. A nearby space or pin on a map does not by itself establish an accessible route.

How to verify transit, shuttles, and rideshare
Public transportation
Check the specific route and travel time, not just whether the transit system describes its vehicles as accessible. Confirm that the vehicle, origin and destination stations or stops, transfers, and route from the final stop to your event entrance work for your needs. For the last part, check the distance and surface between the stop and entrance, along with crossings, curb ramps, and construction or event closures.
For example, Visit Anaheim describes the Transit Plaza on the south side of the Anaheim Convention Center as a transportation hub with accessibility ramps. It says ART and OCTA stops serve the campus near Grand Plaza, Harbor Boulevard, and Katella Avenue, and that ART buses are equipped for accessibility needs. That venue information does not establish that every route, stop, transfer, or transit service in another city will work for every traveler. Check the operator’s current service information for your trip. Visit Anaheim accessibility information
Event shuttles
Ask the convention whether accessible vehicles are provided and confirm where they board and unload, their schedule and capacity, and whether you need an event ticket or reservation. Find out whether the shuttle stop is close to the correct entrance and whether the full route from stop to venue is usable for you.
Taxis and rideshare
Ask the event for the actual pickup and drop-off location, including any separate accessible zone. Confirm that the vehicle can meet your needs and that the approach from the drop-off point to the entrance is step-free. Do not rely on a generic map pin: event traffic plans can put pickup zones away from the main entrance.
Event-specific instructions illustrate why this matters. D23 publishes Anaheim parking, rideshare, and accessible-shuttle arrangements for its event, including location and capacity caveats; those arrangements are not a general rule for other conventions. BlizzCon also provides event-specific transportation and parking information. Use the current guide for the event you are attending. D23 event guidelines · BlizzCon in-person attendee information
Request accommodations and reserve mobility equipment early
Contact the convention accessibility team about accommodations such as seating, aides, or communications services. Ask what information or documentation the event requests and when requests are due; there is no universal process or deadline. Some venues coordinate certain services through the event manager. For instance, Seattle Convention Center asks attendees to advise their event manager of special considerations at least 30 days in advance. That is Seattle’s stated guidance, not a general deadline for gaming conventions. Seattle Convention Center accessibility
If you plan to rent a wheelchair or scooter, contact the provider early. Confirm availability, reservation terms, delivery or pickup, fit, operating range, and any event-specific restrictions. Visit Anaheim lists local wheelchair and scooter rental providers and recommends early contact because availability is limited. This is local guidance for Anaheim, not a guarantee that equipment will be available at another destination. Visit Anaheim accessibility information
Compare routes by more than distance or cost
If you have more than one workable option, compare the full trip against the factors that matter for your access needs.

Examples of venue details to look for
Anaheim Convention Center
Visit Anaheim identifies Car Parks 1 and 4 as the center’s most accessible parking choices and advises drivers to tell an attendant that they need ADA parking. D23’s event guidance describes accessible parking at those car parks as first-come, first-served and warns that parking may be off-site. Those details show why you should check both venue guidance and the specific convention’s current instructions; they do not guarantee a space or apply to other events. Visit Anaheim accessibility information · D23 event guidelines
BlizzCon’s attendee information is a gaming-convention example: it specifies Car Park 4 for its accessible parking information, points attendees to the Transit Plaza and nearby ART and OCTA service, and recommends advance accessibility requests and mobility-equipment reservations. Confirm dates and current instructions on the event’s own page rather than treating those arrangements as standard for other conventions. BlizzCon in-person attendee information

Other convention centers
The Seattle Convention Center describes accessible public areas and services including parking, automatic doors, elevators, braille signage, TTY, and assisted listening devices. It says stage ramps and wheelchair lifts are subject to availability and advance request, and directs attendees to coordinate special considerations with their event manager. The Los Angeles Convention Center lists accessible spaces in its garages subject to availability and says visitors should choose a garage based on event location; hours and prices vary with events. These examples illustrate the kinds of venue details to check, not services available at every convention.
