Where to find the current Epic free game
Visit Epic’s Free Games page and look for the item presented as a current free offer. Check the listing itself for the game title and the claim deadline before assuming an offer is still active. The page confirms a weekly giveaway and a Thursday refresh, but the snapshot accessed on October 8, 2026, did not identify the active PC title or its claim window.

Do not mistake a free-to-play catalog entry or a time-limited free weekend for the weekly giveaway. Epic says a claimed giveaway remains in the library, while access to a free weekend or trial ends when that temporary period expires.
When do Epic Games Store free games change?
Epic says a new free game arrives every Thursday on PC and mobile. The official page does not establish a specific refresh time in the information cited here, so use the deadline shown on the individual offer rather than relying on a guessed time or time zone.

How to claim a free game on Epic
- Open Epic’s Free Games page and select the current giveaway.
- Check that the listing is a giveaway, review its claim deadline, and confirm that the game supports your platform. Epic advises checking the product’s Specifications section for compatibility.
- Sign in to the Epic account where you want the game, then complete the claim through the listing. Epic describes a claim as a digital license attached to that account.
- After claiming, check that the game appears in the library for the same account.
Do claimed Epic free games stay in your library?
Yes. Epic’s FAQ says a claimed free game remains in your library to play after it is no longer offered free to new customers. The key distinction is that you must claim the game during its offer period; merely seeing the listing does not add it to your account.
What to check if a claimed game is missing
First confirm that you are signed in to the same Epic account used to claim the game. Epic notes that signing in directly with an email address may take you to a different account than choosing Google sign-in. An Epic account linked to a console can also be separate from another account you use. Check those sign-in methods and account links before concluding that the license has disappeared.

Which devices and regions can use Epic Games Store?
Epic says its store is available worldwide on PC, Mac, and Android, and on iPhone and iPad in the European Union. The Free Games page describes mobile offers as global on Android and limited to supported regions on iPhone and iPad. Availability of a particular game can still vary: check its listing and Specifications section for platform compatibility.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
