It is the closest match supported by the games’ Steam descriptions and tags, though its setting and characters differ from Sign: Broken Kether. If what appeals to you more is a school-centered, story-rich anime visual novel with an unusual fantasy premise, consider Aokana – Four Rhythms Across the Blue as a looser alternative.
What is Sign: Broken Kether about?
Steam describes Sign: Broken Kether as the first chapter of an episodic visual-novel series from Nekonoke. Its story follows Tian Qin, a high-school girl in the city of Longhua, who encounters Cygnus, a witch from another world who has lost her powers. The appearance of a huge tree in Central Park disrupts ordinary life and draws attention to the city. The developer says the series is inspired by fault. That describes an influence, not a guarantee that a particular fault game is available on Steam or that it shares this story’s structure.
Closest thematic match: WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT
Choose this if the witch-and-magic side of Sign is what you want to follow. Steam presents WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT as a coming-of-age story set in the 1980s involving a young man and two witches. Its tags include Visual Novel, Magic, Adventure, Story Rich, Female Protagonist, and Fantasy. Those are meaningful thematic overlaps, but they do not establish identical tone, plot, or route structure.

The settings and character premises are distinct: Sign describes a present-day city, Tian Qin, and an otherworldly witch; WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT is set in the 1980s and centers on a young man and two witches. Looser alternative: Aokana – Four Rhythms Across the Blue
Aokana is a better fit if you chiefly want a school-centered visual novel with a story-rich anime presentation and a fantastical premise, rather than a witch story. Steam describes a world where people fly using special shoes and compete in the sport Flying Circus. Its tags include Visual Novel, Story Rich, Adventure, Anime, and Sports.

That makes Aokana a more distant comparison: its hook is school life and a fictional sport, not witches or magic. Steam lists a September 27, 2019 release date. Start with the setting and premise
- Urban witch fantasy: Sign: Broken Kether and WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT both involve witches and magic in a modern-world context, though their time periods and character setups differ.
- School and sports fantasy: Aokana centers on a school cast and Flying Circus, a sport made possible by special shoes.
Compare characters using the store descriptions
Sign foregrounds high-school student Tian Qin and the witch Cygnus; WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT describes a young man and two witches; Aokana is framed around a school setting and a competitive sport. These descriptions help identify which premise is appealing, but do not establish that the games offer particular romance routes or branching choices.

Verify languages and release status
Steam listed English interface and subtitles for Sign, with Simplified Chinese and Japanese interface and subtitles as well. At the listing’s October 4, 2026 status check, it gave October 9, 2026 as the release date and marked the game as not yet available. Because that date is close and availability can change, check the listing directly rather than relying on the status here. The other two titles are listed as released; their Steam pages are the place to confirm current availability and localization.
