To fix pauses between songs in a 24/7 Hindi YouTube stream, first find where the silence begins: in the audio files, the playlist or player transition, the encoder, or YouTube playback. Play the same tracks consecutively outside the live stream, then compare what you hear in the source, encoder, and YouTube Live Control Room. A pause that repeats at song boundaries usually points to the files or playback transition; random interruptions call for checking stream health and network stability. Hindi music itself is not a special technical cause.
Find out when and where the gap happens
Before changing settings, pin down the symptom. Note whether the pause happens at every song boundary, only with particular files, randomly during songs, or only for some viewers. Then compare the audio at each stage of the chain:
- Play the tracks consecutively in the local player.
- Listen to the source in OBS or your playback software.
- Check the encoder output or preview and a local recording, if available.
- Compare those with YouTube’s preview and the public stream.
If the gap is already audible in the local playback, YouTube settings are unlikely to fix it. If the source is continuous but the encoder is not, investigate the source configuration or audio routing. If the encoder and local recording sound right but YouTube playback does not, check Live Control Room messages and the outbound connection.
Fix gaps that repeat between particular songs
Check the files at the boundary
Play the end of one track directly into the beginning of the next, outside the live output. Listen for silence at the tail or head of either file. If the pause is in the media itself, adjust the files or replace them with versions that have the intended ending and start. Do not use an encoder bitrate change to try to remove silence that is already present in the source.

Check the playlist and player transition
If the files sound continuous outside OBS but pause when played as a source, focus on the player and its transition behavior. OBS Media Source supports common audio formats including MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. OBS VLC Video can play and loop a playlist, with shuffle and visibility behavior controls. OBS documents these controls but does not promise gapless transitions or crossfading, so a playlist that loops is not necessarily a gapless playlist. See the OBS media sources documentation.
For a continuous setup, confirm that the playlist loop option is enabled if you want it to repeat, and check whether the source is configured to stop or restart when hidden. If the stream changes scenes, test whether the source remains active as intended. Make one change at a time and test in a private or otherwise safe stream before applying it to a live 24/7 broadcast. A particular plugin or player cannot be assumed to be a universal fix; verify the transition behavior with your own files and setup.

Check the encoder and YouTube audio health
Compare the encoder’s output with the local source. Review Live Control Room warnings, encoder errors, CPU load, and a local archive or recording. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the intended broadcast, monitoring stream health, and reviewing messages. Its troubleshooting guidance also recommends checking encoder output, dashboard errors, CPU load, and a local archive, then investigating the outbound connection if those look healthy. Verify the audio stream and published settings
Check that the encoder sends the intended audio stream and that its status is healthy. YouTube lists missing audio and multiple audio streams among ingestion errors; neither is the same as a gap that is built into a track transition, but both are worth checking when the encoder or YouTube output is wrong. For YouTube RTMP/RTMPS, its current live encoder settings guidance lists AAC or MP3 audio. For stereo, it specifies a 44.1 kHz sample rate and 128 kbps audio bitrate. Confirm the current requirements and any Live Control Room messages against YouTube’s encoder settings page. These settings help configure the audio stream; they do not guarantee gapless transitions between separate tracks.
Tell a track-transition problem from a network or playback problem
A pause that reliably occurs at the same boundary points more strongly to the files or player transition than to network delivery. Random interruptions during songs, dropped frames, or reports from viewers at different points call for checking stream delivery. OBS says dropped frames indicate an unstable connection or one unable to sustain the configured bitrate. Viewers can also experience buffering because of their own device or network. If the source, encoder, and local recording sound continuous but the YouTube playback has interruptions, use Live Control Room’s stream health messages and test the outbound internet connection. YouTube advises checking internet strength and contacting the internet service provider if the outbound connection is at fault.
