Check whether your PC meets the requirements
For DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered on Steam for Windows, Koei Tecmo specifies Windows 11 64-bit, a 64-bit processor, 16 GB of RAM, DirectX 12, 60 GB of storage, and a 16-bit stereo sound device at 48 kHz. Compare your system against both the component list and the conditions attached to the frame-rate targets; meeting a listed tier is not a guarantee of identical performance in every scene.

These are Koei Tecmo’s expected targets for the stated specifications and settings, not independent benchmark results. Both tiers also list DirectX 12 and 60 GB of storage. If you use a high-resolution or widescreen display
Koei Tecmo warns that resolutions above Full HD or widescreen monitors may require additional VRAM, depending on settings. When comparing reported frame rates, account for the GPU tier and VRAM, resolution and aspect ratio, graphics preset, and whether upscaling is enabled. A result at 1080p Low with upscaling is not directly comparable to one at a higher resolution or different preset.

Fix Steam player-two input
On Steam, the second player cannot use the keyboard. Koei Tecmo’s two-player setup instructions say that Steam player two can only be operated with a controller; keyboard operation is unsupported.
- Open the game’s System menu.
- Select Control Settings.
- Open Controller Configuration and check the player assignments.
- Connect and assign a controller for player two.
The published guidance does not specify a required controller brand or model. Controller configuration is relevant to this player-two limitation, not a documented remedy for unrelated input problems.

Understand the 1.0.0 event fix
If battle-conclusion events are not playing, check whether Unique Events is OFF under System. Koei Tecmo’s Steam 1.0.0 update note says the game was changed so events connected with a battle’s conclusion play even when unique events are OFF. That note describes this event behavior only; it does not say the update fixes crashes or performance problems.
Why your demo save is missing
This is an expected limitation, not evidence that the save is corrupted: the Steam listing says demo save data cannot be carried over to the full release.
