To fix Dirk and Harper’s relationship after getting their shared Hate outcome, use both the Poise Candy and Sass Candy on the pair. To make a choice during their route instead, interact with the hamper in the laundry room and reach their fifth interaction: choose whether they stay together or split up, then select your own relationship outcome.
How to reach Dirk and Harper’s relationship choice
- Find the hamper in the laundry room. Interacting with it begins Dirk and Harper’s shared route.
- Continue their encounters until the fifth interaction. That is where they ask what you think they should do about their relationship.
- Choose to split them up or support them staying together. Your choice determines the couple’s next scene, but it does not by itself determine your relationship ending.
What happens if you split them up?
Choose the option to split the couple. Dirk and Harper acknowledge that their relationship is unhealthy and part ways. Harper then asks whether you want to be with her; choose Love, Friendship, or Hate for your outcome with Harper.

What happens if you keep them together?
Choose to support them staying together. They remain a couple and invite you to join them. You can accept the invitation for the duo Love route, choose friendship, or reject them for the duo Hate outcome.
How to change a duo Hate outcome back to Friends
If Dirk and Harper have already given you their duo Hate outcome, use both the Poise Candy and Sass Candy on the pair. The official character guides specify that using both restores them to Friends.

Keep the two decisions separate
The fifth-interaction choice is about whether Dirk and Harper remain a couple. The Love, Friendship, or Hate choice that follows determines your relationship outcome with Harper if they split, or with the duo if they stay together. Splitting them up does not automatically give you Harper’s Love ending.
