If everything is silent, troubleshoot Windows and your output device; if only the game is affected, check its routing and files after the basic Windows checks. No official KCD2-specific no-audio fix is documented in the available game listing, so treat these steps as diagnosis—not a guaranteed game bug fix.
First, find out whether the problem is Windows-wide or limited to KCD2
Play audio in another app or game using the same speakers or headset. If that is silent too, start with the Windows output device, volume and hardware. If other apps work but Kingdom Come: Deliverance II does not, keep going through the Windows checks, then focus on the game and its installation.
Notice whether all game audio is missing or only dialogue, music or effects. Also note whether the problem started after switching output devices, installing audio software, or updating Windows or an audio driver. These details help distinguish a routing change from a broader driver or game-specific issue.
Check the output device, volume and physical connection
- In Windows 11, open Settings > System > Sound. Under Output, select the speakers, headset, TV or soundbar you want KCD2 to use. In Windows 10, open the equivalent Sound settings and playback-device controls.
- Confirm the selected device is not muted and raise its volume. Check the Windows volume mixer for the game as well.
- If you use wired equipment, check that it is powered on and its cable is seated. For USB or Bluetooth devices, confirm Windows is using the intended device rather than another available output.
- Set the intended playback device as the Windows default. Device labels and exact menu wording can vary by Windows build.
Microsoft lists incorrect output selection, muted sound, audio enhancements and driver problems among common causes of Windows audio failures. These checks can identify a system-level issue, but they do not establish which cause—if any—is responsible for KCD2 going silent. See Microsoft’s Windows no-sound guide.

Check the game’s volume routing and Windows audio enhancements
Inspect the volume mixer
With the game running, open the Windows volume mixer and make sure Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is not muted or turned down. If Windows offers an app-specific output-device choice, set it to the same device selected under System > Sound.
Temporarily turn off audio enhancements
In the selected output device’s Sound settings, temporarily disable audio enhancements, then test the game. If there is no improvement, restore the previous setting. Change only one setting at a time so you can tell what affected the result.

Try the Windows troubleshooter or address a recent driver change
On Windows 11, try the audio troubleshooter through the Get Help app. Microsoft also recommends checking for an appropriate audio driver when simpler checks do not resolve the problem.
- If sound stopped after a driver update, consider rolling the driver back.
- Otherwise, check for a suitable driver from your PC, motherboard or audio-device manufacturer. If updating does not help, Microsoft’s guidance includes uninstalling and reinstalling the driver; use the manufacturer’s driver page if Windows cannot find one.
- Save your work before restarting the PC during driver troubleshooting.
Use the PC or device maker’s support pages rather than third-party driver-download sites. Microsoft’s audio troubleshooting guidance covers these steps.

If only Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is silent
After confirming Windows audio works in other apps and checking routing, you can try a few reversible, setup-dependent experiments. Community posts and third-party material mention spatial-audio settings, switching output devices, headset Game/Chat routing, audio software and Steam file verification, but these are anecdotes—not confirmed KCD2 fixes. Reports about spatial audio do not establish that turning it on or off will solve the problem.
- Change one setting at a time, test the game, and revert it if sound gets worse.
- If your headset has separate Game and Chat outputs, check that Windows and the game are routed to the intended one.
- For a Steam installation, verifying the game files is an optional platform troubleshooting step, not a documented KCD2-specific remedy.
Steam lists the game as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver, with a release date of February 4, 2025. Its listing points players to PLAION customer support; it does not provide a KCD2-specific no-audio procedure.

What to send PLAION if the problem persists
If other Windows apps and games have sound but KCD2 remains silent after these checks, contact PLAION through its official customer-support route. Include the game version, Windows version, output device, whether dialogue, music or effects are affected, and the troubleshooting steps you have already tried. That information gives support a clearer starting point than a report of “no sound” alone.
