The wording has been reported in all of these situations, so it does not identify one cause or guarantee that one fix will work. Start with the steps for the workflow that is failing.
First, identify where the error appears
Before changing settings, note the exact step that fails and what you are using. This helps separate a browser or form problem from an app or sign-in issue.
- Workflow: web login, password change, support form, Windows app, or mobile app.
- Device and software: phone, PC, operating system, app version if known, and browser if applicable.
- Scope: whether the issue affects one account or more, and whether it happens every time.
- Timing: whether it occurs before or after a CAPTCHA or 2-step verification prompt.

If it happens in a browser, password flow, or support form

A 2022 Developer Forum discussion about password changes mentioned CAPTCHA-blocking extensions and trying another browser or device. If it happens in the Roblox mobile app

- Close Roblox and reopen it.
- Clear the app cache using your phone’s settings, if your device offers that option. Menu names and cache controls vary by device.
- Restart the phone and test the same action again.
- If it still fails, consider uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox. Before uninstalling, make sure you know your login details and can access the account; reinstalling may require you to sign in again.
If it happens while signing in or after 2-step verification
A historical report described login freezing after 2-step verification in the Microsoft Store version of Roblox. A later forum reply said a fix had shipped for that issue. This shows that an app-specific Roblox problem can occur, but it does not establish that the same issue—or a current outage—is behind your error. Roblox Developer Forum
Check whether the same account can sign in through another official Roblox route, such as the website instead of the Windows app. If access still fails, contact Roblox Support and specify whether the failure happens before or after verification.

- The exact action you were taking and the full error wording.
- Your device, operating system, app version, or browser.
- Whether a CAPTCHA or 2-step verification was involved.
