Start by checking Roblox Status, then try the fix for your device: on Windows, restart your computer and check proxy and time settings; on Mac, reinstall Roblox Studio. If those steps do not help, review security software and network restrictions, then contact Roblox Support with the exact error and your device details. Roblox recognizes Studio login failures, but the message alone does not identify one universal cause.
1. Check whether Roblox is having an incident
Open the live Roblox Status page and look for an issue affecting Creator Studio or related services. If an incident is listed, wait for Roblox to resolve it and try signing in again; changing local settings is unlikely to help while the service is disrupted.
At the time this article’s status information was checked, all systems, including Creator Studio, were operational. The page’s history listed a site issue on October 5, 2026, and a Studio publishing disruption on September 28, 2026; both were marked resolved. Those past events do not establish the cause of a current login error.
2. Try the Windows fixes
Restart the computer
Save any open work, close Studio, and restart Windows. Roblox’s General Roblox Studio Issues article recommends rebooting first, noting it can sometimes resolve Roblox or Studio problems. After restarting, open Studio and try again.

Check proxy settings
An unintended proxy or setup script can interfere with Studio’s connection. Open Windows’ current proxy settings and check whether a proxy or setup script is enabled that you do not expect. If this is a school- or work-managed device or network, ask its administrator before changing a managed setting.
Correct the system date and time
Check that Windows has the correct date, time, and time zone. Roblox says an incorrect system clock can cause problems; enable automatic time synchronization if appropriate, then retry Studio.

3. Reinstall Studio on Mac
Roblox’s Studio troubleshooting article suggests reinstalling Roblox Studio on macOS as a possible fix. Remove and reinstall Studio using Roblox’s current installation instructions, then launch it and sign in again. The article lists macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and higher; that is the wording of the help page, not an independent confirmation of current compatibility requirements.
4. Check security software and network restrictions
Security software may block Roblox communication. Review the relevant firewall or security app and allow Roblox if it has been blocked. Follow the software maker’s instructions, and do not disable protection broadly just to test a login.

Roblox’s General Connection Problems guidance also notes that router restrictions on UDP packets can cause connection problems. If you suspect a router or network policy is responsible, consult the network administrator or router documentation. No particular port change is established as a universal fix for Studio’s “Login Failed” message.

If the status page shows no relevant incident and the checks above do not resolve the problem, use Roblox Support. Roblox’s Studio article asks for information that helps identify the affected setup and reproduce the problem.
