Sign out of Streamlabs, disconnect its Twitch authorization, clear your browser cookies and cache, then sign back in to reconnect. This can help new events appear going forward; it will not restore events already missing from the feed.
Refresh the Twitch connection to Streamlabs
Streamlabs’ issue-specific fix is to remove and reauthorize its Twitch connection. Follow the steps in order, including signing out of Streamlabs software as well as the website.
- Sign out of Streamlabs. Log out of Streamlabs.com and any Streamlabs software you use, such as Streamlabs Desktop or Stream Labels.
- Disconnect Streamlabs in Twitch. While signed out of Streamlabs, open Twitch’s Connections settings. Find and disconnect “Streamlabs (Twitch Alerts)” or “Streamlabs / Streamlabs Dashboard,” depending on which entry appears.
- Clear your browser’s cookies and cache. Do this while logged out, as Streamlabs directs. Browser menus differ, so use the browser’s privacy or history settings to clear site data and cached files.
- Sign back into Streamlabs with Twitch. Log in to Streamlabs.com and the relevant Streamlabs software using the Twitch account whose events you want to receive. This reconnects the authorization.
- Update widget or alert URLs if necessary. If your streaming software uses a Streamlabs widget URL and the related widget or alert remains broken after reconnecting, refresh or replace that URL in the software.
The reconnect is meant to help with events from then on. It does not bring back events that were already missing from Recent Events or the Mini Feed.
Check related alert and widget problems separately
If the Mini Feed reconnect does not resolve other alert or widget symptoms, Streamlabs’ general Alerts/Widget Troubleshooting guide suggests checks that may help with those related issues. These are not guaranteed fixes for a Mini Feed that is failing to receive event data.

- Check whether alerts are paused. Look in Recent Events for a paused-alert state.
- Check moderation delay. Unlimited Alert Moderation Delay can hold alerts for approval rather than letting them appear immediately.
- Review alert configuration. Check alert variations, custom HTML/CSS, animations, and widget themes for settings that could prevent an alert from working as intended.
- Refresh the browser source or relink the account. If the problem affects an alert widget, try refreshing its browser source or relinking the account.
- Check local software and system conditions. Streamlabs lists firewall or antivirus access, incorrect system date or time, and the streaming software’s browser cache among possible troubleshooting areas.
- Reset the API token only when appropriate. If you reset it, update the affected widget URLs in your streaming software; old URLs may no longer work.
When an alert is invisible in a scene
A Mini Feed that is not receiving new events is different from an alert that exists but is not visible in your streaming scene. For the latter, check the source’s layer order and whether browser hardware acceleration affects its display. An alert test can help check the Alert Box presentation, but it does not prove that the Mini Feed’s Twitch connection has been repaired.
Where to refresh or test an Alert Box
Streamlabs documents adding an Alert Box directly in Streamlabs Desktop, through the Streamlabs plugin in OBS, or in other streaming software as a browser source using the widget URL. It also supports testing alerts through the dashboard, Desktop, or plugin. If you need to replace a widget URL, update it in the place where that source is configured. Testing an Alert Box checks the alert presentation, not whether new events are reaching the Mini Feed.
