If you already bought a Ubisoft game, check the seller’s order confirmation and account or library for its code; where it appears depends on the retailer and purchase type. If you already have a code, redeem it in Ubisoft Connect PC under Key/Code Activation. Ubisoft does not provide a universal code generator or recovery process for games you have not purchased.
Where to find a code you bought
Check the purchase confirmation email and the retailer’s order history or game library. Follow that seller’s delivery instructions: Ubisoft’s general activation guidance explains how to redeem a code, but does not specify where every retailer delivers one. For a purchase made directly through Ubisoft or another platform store, check the account and library used for the purchase first. Ubisoft’s activation instructions cover redemption, not a universal way to retrieve a missing code.
How to redeem a code on PC
- Open Ubisoft Connect PC and sign in to the Ubisoft account where you want the game or content.
- Select your profile in the top-left corner, or open the Ubisoft Connect overlay.
- Choose Key/Code Activation, enter the code you received, and select Activate.
- If prompted, choose the product and platform.
A successfully activated game should appear in your Ubisoft Connect library. Downloadable or unlockable content is available in-game. Ubisoft links the entitlement to the account used to activate or redeem it, so check which account is signed in if you cannot find the content afterward. Repeated unsuccessful activation attempts may temporarily block further attempts.
If the code does not work or the game is missing
Code is banned or revoked
Ubisoft says keys obtained through irregular sales, including from an unapproved retailer, may be banned. Contact the seller to request a replacement or refund. Ubisoft’s guidance on banned or revoked keys explains this issue.

Code activated, but the game is not in your library
Confirm Ubisoft Connect is signed into the same Ubisoft account used for activation. If the game is still missing, contact Ubisoft Support and provide proof of purchase. Ubisoft’s missing-games guidance covers the account and library issue.
Purchase was through Steam
Steam access may use account linking rather than a separate code. Launch the Ubisoft game from Steam, continue through the prompt, sign in to the Ubisoft account you want to link, and choose Link accounts. See Ubisoft’s Steam account-linking instructions.

Purchase was through Microsoft Store
For a PC purchase, use Ubisoft Connect PC and sign in with the same Ubisoft account used for the Microsoft Store purchase. For a Microsoft Store purchase problem, contact Microsoft Support. Details are in Ubisoft’s Microsoft Store access guidance.

Its approved digital distributors list includes stores such as Amazon, Epic Games Store, Gamesplanet, Green Man Gaming, Humble Bundle, Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam. The list can change, so check it before purchasing.

Ubisoft recommends buying from a retailer in your own country or region. A cross-region purchase may be region-locked or may not support your language. A platform-store purchase may grant access through account linking or the platform account rather than provide a standalone activation code; check the seller’s product and delivery details before buying.
