How to redeem a prepaid Minecoin card safely
- Check the card packaging for the platforms it supports, particularly if you plan to use it on Nintendo Switch.

Switch account and wallet details to know

In an announcement published September 1, 2026, Minecraft said Minecoins purchased in Minecraft on a Nintendo device from October 27, 2026, will be usable only on Nintendo systems. Minecoins owned before that date move to a Legacy Wallet and remain usable on compatible platforms without an expiration date; newly purchased Nintendo Minecoins go into a separate Nintendo Wallet.
