On your Switch or Switch 2, open Nintendo Switch Online from the HOME Menu, choose the user who should receive the icons, then select Missions & Rewards. If Majora’s Mask elements are listed for your account, redeem them with My Nintendo Platinum Points, assemble an icon in Icon Collection, and select it to use as your profile icon. Nintendo’s reward catalog rotates, so the console’s current list is the way to check whether the set is available to you.
Check whether Majora’s Mask icons are available
Nintendo’s icon-element catalog changes over time: elements refresh weekly, while themes change monthly. Nintendo also says some previously released elements may return through play missions. The live list on your console is therefore the useful availability check; an older guide or community post cannot confirm what your account can redeem today. Nintendo’s Missions and Rewards overview explains the rotating program.
- Connect your Switch or Switch 2 to the internet and make sure its system software is up to date.
- Open Nintendo Switch Online from the HOME Menu and select the user account that should receive the elements.
- Choose Missions & Rewards, then scroll through the available games and rewards for Majora’s Mask.
The Majora’s Mask set’s availability, region, and membership-tier conditions on October 4, 2026 have not been confirmed by an official Nintendo listing. If it does not appear, it is not currently being offered to that account in the catalog you can see; check again later rather than relying on a past listing.
Redeem the elements with Platinum Points
If Majora’s Mask elements appear, open each item’s details and check its eligibility requirements before redeeming it. Redemption uses My Nintendo Platinum Points. Nintendo says some rewards can have extra conditions: for example, an item may require playing the relevant game while the elements are available or playing it on at least three separate days in the last 30 days. Those examples are not confirmed requirements for the Majora’s Mask set; follow the requirements shown for the specific item.

Nintendo’s general instructions require an internet-connected Switch or Switch 2 and an active paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. Some icon elements may additionally require an active paid Expansion Pack membership, so check the item details in the console instead of assuming every reward has the same eligibility rules. See Nintendo Support’s custom-icon instructions for the general process.
Build and set your custom profile icon
- In Nintendo Switch Online, open Icon Collection from the top-right area.
- Open the icons or icon-elements view and choose the Majora’s Mask character element you redeemed.
- Select a background and frame. Game elements can be combined with elements from that same game, or with generic backgrounds and frames; elements from different games cannot be freely mixed.
- Create and save the icon, then select it in Icon Collection to set it as the profile icon.
This custom icon is managed in Nintendo Switch Online, not through the regular icon selector in System Settings or the web User Page. Custom icons belong to the Nintendo Account and appear on consoles linked to that account; redeemed elements cannot be shared with another Nintendo Account.

What happens to collected icons if membership ends?
Nintendo says an element already added to Icon Collection remains accessible even if the Nintendo Switch Online membership ends. You can save up to 100 user icons in the collection. This retention rule applies to collected elements; it does not establish that you can redeem new elements after membership ends.
