For Human, Rabbit, Shark, Angel, Ghoul, or Cyborg, Race Awakening means unlocking Race V4: complete the Sealed King sequence, resonate a Mirror Fractal on Mirage Island to find the Blue Gear, pull the Temple of Time lever, then win a full-moon trial and install its gear at the Ancient Clock. You need V3, a Mirror Fractal, and two other eligible players of different races for the trial. Draco uses a separate Trial of Flames route.
Requirements for the normal Race V4 route
The normal route is for Human, Rabbit, Shark, Angel, Ghoul, and Cyborg. Before starting, make sure you have:
- Access to the Third Sea and your current race at V3.
- Completed the Sealed King quest sequence.
- A Mirror Fractal, obtained from Dough King.
- Access to Mirage Island to find the Blue Gear.
- Two other players available for the trial, so the group has at least three players and each uses a different race at V3 or higher.
You do not need to raise three races to V3 on your own account. The different-race requirement applies to the players taking part in the same trial. Race Awakening Puzzle
Complete the Sealed King sequence
- Go to Castle on the Sea in the Third Sea and find the stone tablet behind the arena where rip_indra (True Form) is fought.
- Go to the top of the Great Tree and interact with the invisible NPC, Mysterious Force, to enter the Temple of Time.
- Walk down the hallway inside the Temple and interact with the second NPC.
- Return to the stone tablet at Castle on the Sea.
The tablet’s dialogue is part of the Sealed King quest sequence. If required boss or quest progress is incomplete, it shows an earlier message about King Red Head being trapped. Race Awakening Puzzle · Temple of Time

Find Mirage Island and collect the Blue Gear
- Get a Mirror Fractal by defeating Dough King, then search the Third Sea for Mirage Island.
- Wait until night. A full moon is not needed for this resonance step; nighttime is enough.
- Climb to the island’s highest peak. The intended peak is the mountain without grass, though the center mountain can also work.
- Face the moon and activate your race ability. Keep your view on the moon until the message “Your Mirror Fractal has resonated with the moon” appears.
- Search the island for the glowing Blue Gear and touch it before night ends or Mirage Island disappears.
The Mirror Fractal is not consumed by resonance. Mirage Island may appear during the day, but you must wait for night to attempt this step. The Blue Gear is not collected automatically when resonance succeeds; you have to find and touch it. A player who already collected their Blue Gear cannot see it again, though other players who still need one can see theirs. Mirage Island · Update 19 · Blue Gear
If the moon does not resonate
- Confirm it is nighttime and that you are facing the moon from a suitable high peak.
- Check that the Sealed King sequence is complete.
- Activate your race ability while keeping your view on the moon.
Pull the Temple of Time lever
- Return to the top of the Great Tree and enter the Temple of Time through Mysterious Force.
- Take the left hallway, not the route straight toward the main staircase.
- Interact with the hidden lever on the wall.
The lever permanently unlocks access to the normal Race V4 trial area. Before it is pulled, trying to enter the trial area displays “You are not strong enough to be here.” This is why finding the Blue Gear alone does not unlock V4. Race Awakening Puzzle · Temple of Time · Blue Gear

Start and win a normal Race V4 trial
Trials begin in the Temple of Time trial room. All participants must meet the access and race requirements, and the trial must start during a full moon.
- At least three players must participate, each with a different race.
- Each participant must have completed the puzzle, obtained trial-area access, and have their race at V3 or higher.
- At the full moon, participants activate their race abilities at their corresponding trial doors at the same time.

Each player completes a race-specific challenge. After those individual sections, the participants fight each other; the winner receives the reward gear for that trial. Install the gear at the Ancient Clock
- After winning, follow the glowing gear effect toward the Ancient Clock.
- Interact with the clock and place the awarded gear in the available slot.
The first yellow gear unlocks the Race V4 transformation. Later trial rewards unlock or improve race-specific ability gears. The Ancient One provides the gear associated with extending the awakening and improving how quickly its meter fills. If you leave the server after winning but before installing the gear, you can complete the gear-selection process after rejoining. Race Awakening Gears
Train between trials and activate V4
Training for another trial
After installing a gear, you may need to train the awakening before attempting another trial. Training means using Race V4 transformations and spending their duration; winning a trial by itself does not complete this task. The Ancient One can also assign a training task to players who already have V4. If training is required but unfinished, the next trial can be blocked. Race Awakening Puzzle · Race Awakening

Using the transformation
- Deal damage to fill the Race Awakening meter beneath the energy bar. Player damage fills it more effectively than ordinary NPC or boss damage.
- When the meter is full, use the Race Awakening control displayed by the game. On the standard PC control scheme, the key is Y.
Draco uses a separate awakening route
Draco does not use the normal Blue Gear and Temple of Time trial route. Its awakening is based on the Trial of Flames, introduced in Update 24. Requirements include Draco V3; Dragon Talon, Dragonheart, and Dragonstorm each at 500 mastery; the Leviathan-related progression needed to freeze Hydra Island; discovering Prehistoric Island; and completing the Volcano Event.
- Defeat Leviathan, then harpoon and obtain the Leviathan Heart using the required Beast Hunter progression.
- Bring the heart to the waterfall area on Hydra Island to trigger Freezing Hydra Island.
- Speak with the Dragon Wizard and complete the lantern and vault sequence.
- Enter the Draco trial area near Prehistoric Island and speak with the Statue NPC to begin the Trial of Flames.
- Carry the three relics upward while avoiding rising lava, and finish within the trial’s time limit. Abilities are disabled during the relic section, and the trial area is limited to the group that spawned it.
- Return to the Dragon Dojo, interact with the Flames of Hearth, and select an ember to unlock or upgrade Draco V4.
