Trade for Sinister Cloth when it is in stock
Two specific village trades are reported by Shacknews. The cloth must appear in the trader’s exchange list before you can make either trade; the reported quantities and stock limits are guide details, not guarantees for every inventory cycle or patch. Shacknews’ guide was published March 13, 2025.

Choose based on which currency you have, which trader you can access, and whether the cloth is actually listed. If it is absent, check again later: the guides describe item-exchange availability as random or intermittent, but do not establish a reliable restock schedule or a way to force the listing. AppMedia also describes random exchange availability after entering the high-rank environment, though its Scarlet Forest trader naming differs from the English guide. After completing the campaign, Shacknews reports that Nata can centralize checks of unlocked trader inventories. This can save you from traveling to each village location, but it does not guarantee that Sinister Cloth will be available.

Sinister Cloth is a Rarity 6 crafting material used for Death Stench armor. In the database snapshot dated October 7, 2026, each of the five listed Death Stench α pieces requires one cloth. Check the recipe for your specific target before collecting; other armor entries may have different requirements. The MHDB Wilds database lists the rarity and recipes.
