The Minecraft Creeper-themed 15th Anniversary Cape was announced as a free reward on May 17, 2024, and was claimable through a webpage linked from Minecraft’s announcement. The current official anniversary hub no longer presents that claim, so players who missed it should not expect to claim the cape there now. Minecraft has not stated the offer’s exact end date in the reviewed official pages.
Can you still get the Minecraft 15th Anniversary Cape?
The official May 17, 2024 announcement described the Creeper Cape as a free digital reward and directed players to a linked webpage to claim it. The current Minecraft 15th Anniversary hub does not show a cape claim. That means the offer is not currently presented there; it does not establish the exact date the claim option ended.
If you do not already have the cape, check Minecraft’s official pages for any announcement that it has returned. Do not rely on historical recap language such as “you can still claim” as proof that the offer remains open today.
How the original cape claim worked
Minecraft’s announcement introduced the cape on the third day of its 15th-anniversary celebration. It described the reward as free and sent players to a webpage to claim it. The announcement does not provide a complete redemption walkthrough, qualifying-platform list, account-linking requirements, or an exact deadline, so those details should not be assumed.

Don’t confuse the Creeper Cape with other anniversary rewards
The anniversary included other promotions, but they were separate from the cape. Minecraft’s 15-day anniversary recap discusses daily Character Creator gifts and streaming rewards as distinct items. Their dates and redemption methods do not establish how long the Creeper Cape claim was available.

Claimed the cape but can’t see it?
The official announcement does not give edition-by-edition or platform-by-platform troubleshooting instructions. First verify that you are signed in with the account you used when claiming the cape. If it is still missing, contact Minecraft Support with the account and platform details. Do not assume that a claim made on one platform automatically makes the cape available on every other edition or account.

The announced method was an online claim for a digital cosmetic, not a purchase of hardware, merchandise, or an accessory. A physical Creeper cape or an unofficial seller cannot be treated as a way to obtain this in-game anniversary reward.
