On your iPhone or iPad, sign in to the same Apple Account under Settings → Game Center that you used when you played the old village, then open Clash of Clans and see whether it loads. Game Center may restore progress if the village was associated with that account, but it is not the same as a Supercell ID and is not a guaranteed backup. If the village does not appear, try the Supercell ID linked to it; if that fails too, contact Supercell Support in the game and provide details to verify ownership.
Game Center, iCloud, and Supercell ID are different
These three accounts are easy to confuse, but they serve different purposes:

Being signed into Game Center, or seeing old Game Center achievements, does not prove that your entire village is available to restore through Apple. Supercell controls Clash of Clans account recovery. Apple’s guidance for restoring game progress applies to supported games and recommends matching iCloud and Game Center accounts across devices.
First, try the original Game Center account
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Game Center. Check the account shown and make sure it is the one you used on the device where you played the old village.
- Check that your device is using that same Apple Account for iCloud. Menu wording can vary by iOS or iPadOS version.
- Install or update Clash of Clans from the official App Store listing. Use a stable internet connection and sign into the correct Apple Account before opening the game.
- Launch the game and allow it to load. Check whether your old village appears.
If it does, secure it right away by connecting it to a Supercell ID. In Clash of Clans, open Settings, find the Supercell ID section, and choose the option to connect or register. Use an email address you control, and keep access to the verification messages. Supercell recommends Supercell ID for saving accounts and switching between villages.

If the village was connected to Supercell ID
This is usually the clearest recovery route if you remember linking the village to Supercell ID:
- Open Clash of Clans and go to Settings.
- Open the Supercell ID area and choose Log in or Login with Supercell ID.
- Enter the email address connected to the old village.
- Enter the newest verification code sent by Supercell. If you requested several codes, only the latest one works.
- If more than one village is available, select the correct one.
Supercell explains this process in its lost-account recovery guidance. If you cannot remember which email you used, search the inboxes you had at the time for Supercell login or verification messages. If you still cannot identify it, contact Support through the game and provide ownership details; do not expect Support to disclose account information without verification.
If neither login restores the village, contact Supercell
If the old village was never linked to Supercell ID, or the correct Game Center account and Supercell ID do not bring it back, ask Supercell Support to check whether it can verify and recover the account. In Clash of Clans, open Settings → Help and Support, then tap the contact button in the upper-right corner. Explain that the missing village was previously played on iOS and that you have checked the relevant account logins.

Supercell may ask questions to verify that you own the village. If it can verify ownership, it may be able to help reconnect the account to a Supercell ID. Recovery is not guaranteed. If Support asks for a new email address, use one that is not already connected to another Supercell ID.

I am trying to recover an old Clash of Clans village previously played on iOS through Game Center. I have checked the Apple/Game Center account, but the old village does not load. I can provide the player tag, account name, Town Hall level, clan name, device information, and purchase transaction IDs. Please tell me what additional information is needed to verify ownership.
Gather details that can help verify ownership
Before contacting Support, collect what you can. Supercell may request details such as:
- The player tag, which begins with
#, if you know it. - The in-game name and Town Hall level or account level.
- The clan name, if the village belonged to one.
- Approximately when you last used the account.
- The models of the iPhone or iPad on which you played.
- The Apple Account or Game Center details you used, but never the password.
- Approximate purchase history and transaction IDs for in-app purchases, if applicable.
- Old screenshots, videos, messages, or posts that show the village, player name, clan, or tag.
A player tag helps Support locate a village, but Supercell says the tag alone is not enough to recover it. Transaction IDs may also help establish ownership. Share only what Support requests through its official channel: never send passwords, verification codes, recovery codes, or payment-card numbers.

Ask a former clanmate or friend to open your old player profile and read the tag. Someone who still has the account in a Friends list or can find it in a clan may be able to view it. You can also check screenshots, recordings, messages, or social posts from when you played. Supercell’s player-tag guidance describes ways friends and clan members can help locate it.

If Clash of Clans opens a new village
A fresh village on screen does not necessarily mean the old one has been deleted. It can mean the device is signed into a different Apple Account, Game Center is signed out, the old village used another Game Center account, or the village was actually connected to a Supercell ID instead. You may also be looking at a new village before signing into the correct saved account.
Do not panic, repeatedly create accounts, or connect the new village to an account just to see what happens. First check Game Center, then try the Supercell ID login associated with the old village. A new village can make account switching more confusing, but it does not prove the old village is gone.
Common situations and limits
- You still have the old iPhone or iPad: Open Clash of Clans on it before changing accounts or erasing the device. If the village is accessible, connect it to Supercell ID while you still can. The old device may also help you find account details.
- You changed Apple Accounts: The new Apple Account generally will not expose progress associated with the old Game Center account. Identify the original account and check that account rather than cycling through new ones. Apple recommends using the same iCloud and Game Center account as on the other device.
- You are moving to Android: Game Center is Apple-specific, so do not expect it to transfer the village. Recover it through the Supercell ID linked to it, or ask Supercell Support to verify ownership.
- You have receipts: Transaction IDs can help, but they do not guarantee recovery. Provide them only through official Supercell Support.
- You have no remaining ownership evidence: Supercell may be unable to verify the account. There is no guaranteed self-service method for an unlinked village.
An iCloud or device backup should not be treated as a guaranteed way to restore a Clash of Clans village. The available official guidance does not establish that every village is recoverable from an iPhone backup.

Supercell ID is the supported way to switch between multiple Clash of Clans accounts on one device. Follow the in-game Supercell ID prompts to log out or switch accounts; where appropriate, choose Play without Supercell ID to access another village, then connect that village to its own Supercell ID. The exact prompts may vary by game version. Do not use different Game Center accounts as an improvised substitute for keeping villages organized. See Supercell’s multiple-account guidance.

Protect the village once you recover it
Connect the village to a Supercell ID using an email account you control, and make sure you can still access that inbox. Keep verification codes private and do not share the village or its login details. Avoid third-party account-recovery services: they cannot legitimately bypass Supercell’s ownership checks, and handing over credentials can put the account at risk.

Can I recover Clash of Clans with only Game Center?
Possibly, if the village was associated with the same Game Center account and the game can load that progress. Game Center alone does not guarantee recovery; try the linked Supercell ID or contact Supercell Support if the village does not appear.
Does an Apple or iCloud backup restore my Clash of Clans village?
Do not rely on an Apple device backup as a guaranteed village-recovery method. Check the original Game Center account and the village’s Supercell ID, then contact Supercell Support if needed.

Can Supercell recover a village that was never linked to Supercell ID?
It may be able to help if it can verify that you own the village, but recovery is not guaranteed. Use the in-game Support route and provide the information requested.
Can I transfer a Game Center village to Android?
Game Center is Apple-specific. Use the village’s Supercell ID to access it on another platform, or ask Supercell Support about recovery if you cannot log in.
