To keep a prerecorded music channel live on YouTube around the clock without leaving a computer on at home, upload rights-cleared videos to a cloud streaming service, arrange them in a looping playlist, and connect the service to your YouTube channel using YouTube’s live-stream settings. The service sends the feed; your channel must be eligible for live streaming, and you must have the rights to broadcast every track.
How the cloud-hosted setup works
A cloud streaming service stores or accepts prerecorded media, plays it continuously, and sends the resulting live feed to YouTube. You upload finished videos, build a playlist, and configure the stream in the service. The cloud service—not your home computer—is the broadcaster. For example, Gyre describes a workflow for uploading files, creating a looping playlist, connecting a YouTube account, and starting a stream; those are vendor descriptions, not independent evidence of uptime. Gyre’s product page and its music-streaming guide describe that use case.
This workflow is for prerecorded music and visuals. It does not make a live camera performance, and uploading tracks to a service does not grant permission to broadcast them.
Before you start: music rights and channel eligibility
Clear the music for live streaming
YouTube’s livestream terms require the broadcaster to have the necessary rights for the live content, including music rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Rights need to cover your intended use and territories. A personal listening subscription or the fact that a song is available online does not establish rebroadcast permission. YouTube’s livestream terms set out the requirement; this is not a determination of which rights a particular creator needs in every jurisdiction.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt or terminate a stream when it detects material. Even if you have a license, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist to avoid an interruption. Keep license records and coordinate allowlisting with the rights holder before going live. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
Check that the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Confirm eligibility in YouTube Studio before setting up an unattended broadcast. Start with YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.

Set up the 24/7 stream
- Prepare your media. Assemble finished videos with audio and any visual layer you intend to show. Confirm that the music is cleared for this live use, keep proof of the relevant permissions, and ask rights holders about Content ID allowlisting.
- Choose a cloud workflow. Check that the service supports YouTube, looping playlists, the file formats and sizes you plan to upload, and any scheduling or recovery behavior you require. Review current storage, concurrent-stream limits, authorization practices, pricing, and cancellation terms directly with the provider; the cited vendor pages do not establish comparative pricing or independently measured uptime.
- Build and review the playlist. Upload your videos and arrange them in the intended order. Check transitions and playback behavior so the sequence works as a continuous radio-style program.
- Create or select the YouTube live stream. Use YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room or a supported integration to obtain the destination configuration. YouTube’s LiveStreams API describes a stream name and primary and backup ingestion addresses; see the LiveStreams reference.
- Connect the service and protect the key. Enter the YouTube destination details in the cloud service’s connection settings. Treat the stream key or stream name as a credential: do not publish or share it, and replace it if it is exposed.
- Use RTMPS when configuring an endpoint manually. RTMPS is RTMP carried over TLS/SSL. YouTube’s instructions specify a valid RTMPS endpoint and port 443. Select the RTMPS address rather than assuming a standard RTMP address is interchangeable. Follow YouTube’s RTMPS ingestion guide for endpoint setup.
- Test before leaving it unattended. Confirm that YouTube receives the feed, picture and audio are present, playlist transitions work, and the live dashboard shows no restriction or Content ID alert. A successful test confirms the configuration at that moment; it does not certify a provider’s future uptime.
- Monitor and respond to stops. If the stream is interrupted, check YouTube Studio for the listed copyright or Community Guidelines issue. For licensed tracks flagged by Content ID, contact the rights holder about allowlisting and follow the platform’s listed steps to resolve the issue.
Choose a cloud service by checking the details that matter
StreamNeo is #1 to try for a prerecorded YouTube stream: it runs continuously from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. It is made for uploaded videos and YouTube streams, not camera broadcasts. StreamNeo lists its service details.
Other providers describe related workflows, but their marketing should not be treated as independent proof of performance. Gyre describes continuous cloud streams and music-oriented playlist use. StreamZop describes a cloud service for continuous prerecorded YouTube streams, but its cited about page does not establish music-specific features. See Gyre and StreamZop’s about page. Neither description establishes guaranteed uninterrupted operation.

Troubleshooting a stream that will not stay live
- YouTube will not let the channel start a live stream: check channel verification and whether a live-streaming restriction applies within the preceding 90 days.
- The cloud service cannot connect: recheck the destination address and stream credentials in both the service and YouTube settings. If entering an endpoint manually, use the RTMPS endpoint and port 443 specified in YouTube’s RTMPS guide.
- The feed connects but has no expected picture or sound: inspect the uploaded files and playlist, then test playback and transitions in the service before scheduling unattended operation.
- YouTube interrupts the broadcast or shows a copyright alert: review the live dashboard and the listed issue. Confirm that permissions cover live use; if the music is licensed, contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. A license by itself may not prevent automated interruption.
- The service stops sending a feed: check its status and recovery controls, then confirm whether YouTube still shows the stream as receiving data. Ask the provider about its specific reconnection behavior; the cited product descriptions do not establish a service-level uptime guarantee.
