To install Sacrificial Mods’ Extreme Violence mod, extract its ZIP, place the extracted mod files or folder directly in your Sims 4 Mods folder, then enable both Mods and Script Mods in the game’s options. Check the creator’s compatibility notice against your installed game patch before you begin; compatibility can change after game updates.
Check the download and game version first
Download Extreme Violence from Sacrificial Mods’ official downloads page. EA advises players to download mods only from a trusted source or creator, and says EA and Maxis do not pre-screen, endorse, or support specific mods or custom content (EA’s mod installation guidance).

The creator’s downloads page describes Extreme Violence as adding more than 40 ways to kill Sims, along with fights, reputation, and gangs. It lists October 12, 2025 as the mod’s last update. The creator’s compatibility feed reports that after the September 22, 2026 game update, no update was required for players who already had the latest versions of the creator’s mods; the notice lists PC game version 1.128.90.1030 and Mac version 1.128.90.1230. These are dated compatibility details, not a guarantee for patches released later. Compare the game version shown on your installation with the creator’s latest notice before installing.
Install Extreme Violence
- Update The Sims 4. The creator’s installation guide instructs players to update the game before installing.
- Remove older copies of Extreme Violence. Delete previous files for this same mod so an old version does not remain alongside the replacement.
- Download and extract the ZIP. Use your computer’s extract option; the creator’s guide calls this “Extract Here.” Do not leave the ZIP itself as the only item in the Mods folder.
- Move the extracted mod files or folder into the Mods folder. The documented path is
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Place the extracted content there without nesting the mod folder inside another subfolder. - Enable both mod settings. In The Sims 4, open
Game Options > Otherand turn onEnable Custom Content and ModsandScript Mods Allowed. The creator specifically says both “Mods” and “Script Mods” must be enabled. - Restart the game. Restart if needed after changing mod settings, then check whether the mod loads.
If Extreme Violence does not appear or work
Check the installation in this order:
- Confirm that you extracted the ZIP and put the extracted files or folder in
Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. - Make sure the mod is not buried inside another subfolder in
Mods. - Verify that both custom content/mods and script mods are enabled in
Game Options > Other, and restart after changing them. - Remove duplicate or older Extreme Violence files, then compare the installed game patch with the creator’s current compatibility notice.
If it still fails, check the creator’s current support channels or EA’s Sims 4 Mods and Custom Content forum. EA notes that game updates can break mods; its forum guidance also explains that a last exception is an error reported in a file produced by the game. There is no single fix established for every crash or conflict: other mods, later game patches, and system-specific issues can require separate diagnosis.
