If you are playing across platforms, go to Main Menu > Settings > Gameplay Options and enable cross-play if it is off. An invited player whose cross-play is disabled will be prompted to enable it before joining. (VOID Interactive, “Cross-Play and Epic Friends Integration in Ready or Not”.)

Create or join a lobby and use the in-game friends list or the relevant platform overlay. The exact same-platform invite steps can vary by platform, so follow the options shown in your game rather than relying on one universal button sequence. The in-game friends list does not require account linking, but it shows platform friends who are currently online and in-game.

If you are creating a Friends-Only lobby, check its cross-play choice while creating it. That lobby-specific choice does not change your global cross-play setting. Public lobbies follow the host’s cross-play setting, according to VOID Interactive.
