Yes—your PC can be off while a prerecorded video, playlist, or 24/7 stream runs through LiveReacting’s servers. Set up and start the server-hosted broadcast first. A camera-based Live Studio broadcast is different: it uses your computer as the video source, so that computer must stay on.

LiveReacting describes the first three as server-hosted workflows and says they can continue if your computer or home internet goes down. It also says it reconnects if a platform drops the connection. These are vendor claims, not an independent guarantee of uninterrupted service. LiveReacting documents the distinction between server-hosted video and camera-based production.
Set up a PC-off YouTube stream with LiveReacting
- Check channel readiness. YouTube live streaming must be enabled for your channel, and it must not have active restrictions that prevent going live. LiveReacting says first-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it ahead of the broadcast.
- Choose content you have rights to use. Use video and music you own or have permission to stream. A cloud workflow does not change copyright responsibilities.
- Create the video or playlist project. Add the prerecorded videos in the order you want them to play. LiveReacting also documents connecting an already scheduled YouTube event.
- Connect the YouTube channel. Select the channel that should receive the broadcast and follow LiveReacting’s connection flow.
- Set the start and run length. Choose the start date and time, duration, or recurrence available for your workflow and plan. Confirm the current plan’s scheduling features and maximum duration before relying on a long run.
- Check the time zone and repeat behavior. LiveReacting says the schedule uses the computer’s time zone. Recurring runs treat a day as 24 hours, so a local start time can shift by an hour when clocks change for daylight saving.
- Start or schedule the server-hosted broadcast. Confirm the project is running from LiveReacting’s servers. Then you can shut down the computer; do not do this for a camera-based Live Studio broadcast.
LiveReacting schedule and duration limits
LiveReacting’s scheduling page lists the following plan limits. These are vendor-published specifications accessed in 2026; plan details may change, so check the current offer before scheduling.

The listed duration boundary matters: a scheduled video or playlist run is not necessarily suitable for continuous programming. For a repeated schedule, check both the recurrence option and the maximum run length for the plan you intend to use.

What to check if the stream stops or does not start
- The channel cannot go live: Confirm live streaming is enabled, allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation, and check for active channel restrictions.
- The stream will not run for the planned length: Compare the requested run with the current plan’s maximum duration; the published limit differs by plan and mode.
- A recurring stream starts at an unexpected local time: Check the computer time zone used when scheduling and account for daylight-saving changes; a recurring day is counted as 24 hours.
- The broadcast stops when the computer is shut down: Confirm that you chose prerecorded video, playlist scheduling, or 24/7 server-hosted streaming. A camera-based Live Studio session depends on the computer that supplies the camera feed.
- The stream is interrupted after YouTube drops the connection: LiveReacting says it reconnects when a platform drops the connection, but this is not a promise of uninterrupted uptime. Check the stream status in LiveReacting and YouTube before relying on it for a critical event.
- Video or audio is blocked or claimed: Verify that you own or have permission to stream every video and music track. LiveReacting’s hosting does not grant content rights.
