Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallFor a YouTube Live replay, turn on CC in the player, then enable Loop for the video. After it repeats once, check that captions are still on: YouTube documents caption and loop controls separately, but does not guarantee captions stay enabled at every loop boundary on every device. An ongoing live stream is different; you cannot loop it like a posted replay.
First, check whether you are watching live or a replay
A live stream is real-time media. If the channel posts a replay after the broadcast, that replay appears as a video on the channel and can be looped like other videos. The steps below are for that replay or another video on a YouTube watch page.
If you mean subtitles on a broadcast that is still live, the viewer’s CC control is not the way the creator adds captions. See how live-stream captions work below.
Turn on captions, then loop the video
On a computer
- Start the replay and select CC in the player, if that control is available. Use the caption menu to choose a language or adjust appearance when those options are offered.
- Right-click inside the video player and select Loop.
- Let the video reach the end and start again. Check the CC button or caption display after the repeat begins.
On Android
- Start the replay and turn on captions using the player’s caption control, if available. YouTube also documents an Android default option called Show captions.
- Open Settings > Additional settings > Loop video.
- After the first repeat begins, check whether captions are still displayed.
On iPhone or iPad
- Turn on captions from the player when available, and select a language if the caption menu offers one.
- Use the app’s player settings to find its repeat control. The exact iOS menu path is not specified here.
- Check captions after the first repeat.
On a TV or game console
- Open the player controls and turn on captions or choose a caption language or style if those options are available on your device.
- Select Repeat until the control indicates that the currently playing video will repeat.
- Check the caption display after playback starts over.
If captions disappear when the video repeats
YouTube’s help explains how to enable captions and how to loop a video, but does not promise that the captions-on state persists across every loop on every client. Check the CC state after the first repeat. If captions are off, turn them on again from the player. There is no documented universal setting that forces captions to remain on across loop boundaries.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Also confirm that captions are available for the video. Loop repeats playback; it does not generate subtitles. If the CC control or caption options are absent, the loop setting cannot create captions. Availability and language options depend on the video and supported player.
Captions on an ongoing live broadcast
For creator-supplied live captions, the broadcaster must send captions with the stream. YouTube documents embedded EIA 608/CEA 708 captions and supported software that sends captions over HTTP; its live-caption information names providers including StreamText.Net. This is separate from a viewer switching on CC for a replay.

YouTube’s help says live automatic captions are English-only and depend on rollout and stream conditions. It also states: “After the live stream ends, live automatic captions won’t remain on the video.” YouTube generates new captions for the video-on-demand replay, and those may differ from the live captions.
For embedded captions, YouTube says the 608/708 standard supports up to four language tracks, while YouTube currently supports one embedded caption track. These are creator-side caption-feed details, not viewer settings.

Or let it run in the cloud
If you are a creator who wants an uploaded video or playlist to keep a YouTube channel live, StreamNeo runs it from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos, not a camera feed.
