To get out of Old World Blues, finish the main quest’s Think Tank confrontation, then leave the Dome through either the exterior door or the door to the Sink. After the ending sequence, use the Big MT Transportalponder to travel between the Sink balcony and the Mojave Drive-in.
Can you leave Big MT before finishing Old World Blues?
The main quest does not provide a normal way to return to the Mojave early. Progress through the add-on’s final confrontation with the Think Tank; you do not need to choose one particular resolution just to leave. The Fallout Wiki’s Old World Blues quest reference documents the finale and exit sequence.
How to exit Old World Blues
- Continue the main quest to the Think Tank confrontation. Its final steps involve confronting Dr. Klein and ending the Courier’s imprisonment in Big MT.
- Resolve the confrontation. The quest allows different approaches; the exit route does not depend on a specific choice.
- Leave the Dome. Use either the exterior door or the door to the Sink. This triggers the ending slides and completes the add-on.
- Use the Big MT Transportalponder after control returns. Find it in your inventory. In the Mojave, use it to reach the Sink balcony; in Big MT, use it to return to the Mojave Drive-in.
Where does the Transportalponder take you?
| Where you are | Destination |
|---|---|
| Mojave | Sink balcony in Big MT |
| Big MT | Mojave Drive-in |
The official Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition manual identifies Old World Blues as an add-on and places its opening radio signal and quest marker at the Mojave Drive-in. The specific finale steps and Transportalponder destinations above are documented by the community-maintained Fallout Wiki, not by the manual.
