What is the best mode to level up fast in Warzone?
For a Warzone-only weapon grind, a respawn mode is a practical choice because it offers opportunities to re-enter fights and keep using your weapon. A June 24, 2026 TimeSaver.gg guide, written for Season 4 Reloaded, recommends Plunder or Resurgence, with the target weapon equipped and contracts completed between fights. It treats Battle Royale as less suitable for continuous weapon leveling. These are editorial recommendations, not official XP rates or results from a controlled comparison. Read the dated guide.

That recommendation is not a Season 06 ranking. The current season’s official materials describe Haunted Hollow Resurgence and direct players to current patch notes, but do not publish mode-by-mode XP-per-hour figures. Playlists rotate, so check the in-game mode selector before planning a grind; do not assume Plunder is available or that any playlist is the fastest today. Choose the activity for the progress you want
- Warzone-only weapon XP: Try a current respawn playlist if one is available and suits your play style. Treat this as a practical recommendation, not a proven fastest-mode result.
- Player rank: XP from supported modes contributes to player progression; it is not the same as leveling a weapon.
- Battle Pass progress: Use a Double Battle Pass XP token rather than assuming a Player or Weapon XP token will help.
- Black Ops 7 owners: Multiplayer, Zombies, and other supported modes also contribute to shared account progression, so you can consider them as alternatives to Warzone.
How to stack XP multipliers correctly
First identify which progression bar you want to move. Activision documents player progression across supported Black Ops 7 modes, including Warzone, and says progress follows the Activision account across linked platforms. Compatible Black Ops 7 items unlocked through player leveling become available in Warzone. - Pick your goal: Decide whether you are leveling player rank, a specific weapon, or the Battle Pass.
- Equip the exact weapon: For weapon XP, put the weapon you want to level in your loadout so it is available early. This is the dated guide’s practical advice, not a published Activision requirement.
- Choose a current playlist: If you are staying in Warzone, check the in-game selector for a suitable respawn option. Playlist availability changes.
- Activate the matching token: Use Double Weapon XP for weapon levels, Double Player XP for account rank, or Double Battle Pass XP for the pass. The June guide advises activating a token when active gameplay is about to begin and warns that its timer runs in menus; treat that timer advice as third-party guidance.
- Keep using the weapon while doing objectives: The guide recommends completing contracts between fights while the target weapon is in use.
The Season 06 announcement lists an email-verification reward of five one-hour tokens in each category: Player XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass XP. The offer’s availability depends on the account; check the announcement and your account before relying on it. Offer details.
Does Black Ops 7 help you level up in Warzone?
Black Ops 7 is optional for Warzone progression. Activision says gameplay across supported modes—including Co-Op Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone—earns XP toward player progression, with progress tied to the Activision account. Buying Black Ops 7 adds access to its paid modes; it is not a requirement to level up in free-to-play Warzone. Shared progression makes those modes an option if you already own the game, but the available sources do not establish that they are faster for weapon leveling than current Warzone playlists. Weapon XP and Weapon Prestige: what resets?
Weapon XP advances an individual weapon’s level; it is separate from player rank. Use the weapon in a supported mode and monitor its level in the Weapon or Gunsmith menus. Double Weapon XP tokens can speed that progression, but no official source here provides a guaranteed number of matches or time to reach max level.
At max weapon level, Weapon Prestige is optional. Activision says the first two Weapon Prestige steps reset the weapon to Level 1 and relock earned attachments, with optics remaining unlocked. Prestige 1 grants a weapon-specific Prestige attachment, a permanent attachment unlock, a universal Prestige camo, and other benefits. Prestige 2 grants another camo, permanent unlock, and charm. If you want to keep an optimized build ready for matches, weigh the rewards against temporarily losing access to most earned attachments. Prestige is a choice, not a requirement for leveling or using the weapon.

Activision says Classic Prestige becomes available after you reach and complete Level 55. Entering it returns your player level to Level 1, relocks most level unlocks, and resets loadouts. Operators and Emotes remain unlocked. A Permanent Unlock can preserve one chosen item for the renewed leveling journey. - Enter Prestige if you want the Prestige progression and are willing to rebuild loadouts and regain most level unlocks.
- Wait if you would rather keep your current level unlocks and loadouts immediately available.
- Choose a Permanent Unlock carefully: use it for an item that matters during the next leveling journey.
Keep the grind within the rules
