To use Xbox with Ubisoft Connect, link your Xbox account to the Ubisoft account you want to use. Sign in on Ubisoft’s Account Information page, go to Linked accounts, choose Xbox, and select Link. Xbox is not a universal substitute for your Ubisoft sign-in: in most cases, you sign in to Ubisoft Connect with your Ubisoft account and connect the Xbox account to it.
Link your Xbox account to Ubisoft
- Open Ubisoft Account Information and sign in to the Ubisoft account you want to use.
- Open Linked accounts.
- Find Xbox and select Link.
- Follow the pop-up instructions. Check that the Ubisoft and Xbox accounts shown are the ones you intend to connect before confirming.
Ubisoft Help says linking a Ubisoft account to another platform account can enable available cross-play and cross-progression features, but support varies by game and platform.
Alternative: sign in when launching a Ubisoft game
Launch the Ubisoft game on Xbox and sign in to Ubisoft Connect when prompted. This is an in-game route to connect accounts; it does not mean every Ubisoft service accepts Xbox credentials instead of a Ubisoft account.
Linking through the Xbox PC app
Ubisoft documents a separate process for selected console purchases labeled “PC version included with purchase.” If your game is eligible, use this flow:

- Open the game’s tile in the Xbox PC app and select Install.
- When the Ubisoft Connect PC pop-up appears, sign in to the Ubisoft account you want associated with the game.
- Review the Xbox and Ubisoft accounts displayed, then confirm the link.
In this flow, Ubisoft says Change account lets you choose another Xbox account. This procedure applies to the specified eligible purchases, not necessarily every Ubisoft game in the Xbox PC app.
Fix “This profile is already linked to another user”
Ubisoft identifies this error in the PC Game Pass context as meaning the Xbox account is already connected to a different Ubisoft account. Ubisoft’s guidance is to unlink the current connection, then link the Ubisoft account you intend to use. Do not keep unlinking and relinking as a workaround: Ubisoft says an Xbox account previously linked to a Ubisoft account can only be linked again to that same Xbox account. To connect a different Xbox account, contact Ubisoft Support.

What to know before unlinking
Ubisoft warns that linking or unlinking platform accounts can have lasting effects on games and subscriptions. While accounts are unlinked, you may lose access through your Ubisoft account to content purchased from the platform store. Ubisoft says you must relink the same platform account to access that content through the Ubisoft account again. Confirm the displayed account details and understand the consequences before unlinking.

No general transfer is guaranteed. Cross-play and cross-progression depend on the game and platform. Where a game supports cross-progression, access to progression on linked platforms may still require owning the game on each platform, which can mean buying it more than once.
