1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo loop a pre-recorded meditation video on YouTube Live, send it through an encoder or a compatible streaming service and enable repeat playback there. YouTube Live receives the encoder’s feed; YouTube Studio does not provide a universal loop switch. For a do-it-yourself setup, schedule a stream in YouTube Studio, enter its stream URL and key in an encoder, set the video to repeat, then preview and monitor the feed before sharing it.
What you need before you start
- A verified YouTube channel eligible to livestream. YouTube says the channel must have no live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days, and streamers must be at least 16. First-time livestream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so activate it ahead of your planned start. YouTube livestreaming requirements
- A video and audio track you have the rights to livestream worldwide, including any music, ambient recordings, nature sounds, and visuals.
- An encoder that can play a file repeatedly, a stable internet connection, and enough upload capacity for the full stream bitrate plus headroom.
An encoder converts the video into a format YouTube can receive. The repeat control belongs to the encoder or streaming service, and its location and behavior vary by product. YouTube documents the connection workflow, not one universal playback-loop setting. YouTube: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder
Set up a looping stream with an encoder
- Enable live streaming in advance. In YouTube Studio, complete any channel verification and livestream activation prompts. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement.
- Create or schedule the stream. Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to enter Live Control Room. Create a stream or schedule it, then locate its stream URL and stream key in the stream settings. Exact screen labels can change.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your stream. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio’s stream settings and update the encoder.
- Connect the encoder. In the encoder’s server or stream settings, enter the YouTube stream URL and key. Select the video file and configure the encoder’s playback or playlist control to repeat it. Check the selected encoder’s own documentation for the exact repeat setting; do not assume it is controlled in YouTube Studio.
- Set stream quality and bandwidth. Choose a resolution and bitrate that your upload connection can sustain consistently. YouTube recommends upload capacity at least 20% above the total stream bitrate. That is a headroom recommendation, not a guarantee against outages. A stable wired connection is a practical choice when available. YouTube: Streaming tips
- Start privately or unlisted and test. Start the encoder and check the preview in Live Control Room before making the stream public. YouTube creates a watch page when the encoder begins sending. Confirm that the video repeats, then check the public-facing player on a second device.
- Check the loop’s sound. Listen across the transition between the end and beginning of the file. Look for silence, abrupt cuts, clicks, an unexpected pause, or a gap in playback. Test the exact file and encoder settings you plan to use.
- Launch and monitor. For a planned event, YouTube advises setting up the encoder at least two hours in advance and starting it at least 15 minutes before the event. These are useful buffers for a loop launch, not a promise of uninterrupted service. Monitor audio and video during the stream. YouTube live streaming tips
To end the stream, stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume that archive behavior applies to longer streams. YouTube: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder
Protect the meditation video and music rights
Confirm that your permissions cover livestreaming and worldwide use, not merely ordinary video uploads. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on providers to have the rights needed for worldwide exploitation of live content, including music licensing rights. YouTube Terms of Service

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may trigger a warning, a placeholder in place of your stream, or interruption or termination if the issue is not resolved. Even if you have a license, a rights owner may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID for the stream not to be interrupted. Archived live streams may also receive Content ID claims after the broadcast. YouTube: Copyright issues with live streams
DIY encoder or cloud service?
A local software encoder gives you direct control over playback, but it depends on the computer and its internet connection staying available while it streams. A cloud service can run the playback away from your home computer. YouTube’s encoder guidance identifies Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded streaming; check that service’s current features and terms before choosing it. Common problems and fixes
- The stream will not start: Check that livestreaming is enabled for the channel, confirm the stream URL and key are entered correctly, and verify the encoder is sending. First-time activation may still be pending for up to 24 hours.
- The video plays once and stops: The repeat setting is in the encoder or streaming service. Confirm repeat is enabled for the selected file or playlist and test the full loop before going public.
- The preview buffers or drops: Check the upload connection and reduce the stream bitrate or resolution if the connection cannot sustain it. Compare upload capacity with the total bitrate, allowing YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
- The audio has a gap or abrupt join: Review the source file’s beginning and ending, then test the loop transition in the encoder. Adjust the source edit or playback settings and listen again from a second device.
- YouTube warns about or interrupts the stream: Check for a third-party content match. Verify livestream rights and, if content is licensed, ask the rights owner whether your channel needs a Content ID allowlist.
- The stream key may be exposed: Reset it in YouTube Studio and replace the old key in the encoder before sending another feed.
