To make a 24/7 YouTube French café music radio stream, clear the music for continuous YouTube livestreaming first, then build a simple looping visual, schedule a YouTube Live event, and send it through a compatible encoder. Keep someone responsible for monitoring and recovery: YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and a rights match can interrupt even a stream you are licensed to play.
1. Clear the music for continuous online use
Rights are the first launch decision, not a detail to resolve after the stream is live. Use music you own and control, commissioned music whose written grant covers the planned use, or tracks licensed under terms that expressly permit a continuous YouTube livestream. A license for ordinary listening, a “royalty-free” label, or permission to play music inside a café is not enough evidence by itself that a 24/7 online broadcast is cleared.
For every track, keep a rights ledger with the title, composition and recording owners, license grant, permitted platform and territories, monetization terms, license term, attribution requirements, archive/replay rights, and a rights-holder contact. Ask in writing whether the rights holder will add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube says that a live stream may be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted, even when the streamer has licensed the content. Its copyright guidance also says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content and that archived live streams may receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends: YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams.
Do not confuse café playback permission with livestream rights
For a café or restaurant in France, Service Public Entreprendre describes prior authorization and declaration with Sacem, followed by a general representation contract, for playing music in the business. That guidance concerns music played for customers on the premises; it does not establish permission for a YouTube livestream, worldwide viewers, monetization, or saved video archives. Check the rights for the actual online uses and territories you plan. The French guidance was verified on 12 August 2025: Service Public Entreprendre: Streaming music in a store (Sacem).

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
2. Design a café scene that can loop cleanly
Choose a visual format you can operate and clear for both the live broadcast and any archive: a still illustration, a subtle looping animation, or a more elaborate scene. A warm interior, rainy window, menu board, or understated title card can establish a French café mood without adding a complicated production chain. Use original artwork, fonts, and animation, or obtain permission for their livestream and archive use.
Avoid film clips, other creators’ footage, and rebroadcasts of someone else’s live content. YouTube’s live copyright scanning can detect third-party material, including another live broadcast. Keep a backup still image or slate ready so a visual-source failure does not leave the encoder without a scene. These are practical production choices rather than mandatory YouTube hardware or scene requirements.

3. Check eligibility and create the YouTube Live event
- Confirm live access. YouTube’s current Help guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. It also says streamers must be at least 16 years old. Check the current requirements before planning a launch: YouTube Help: Premiers pas avec la diffusion en direct.
- Schedule the event in YouTube Studio. Set a clear title and description, add a thumbnail, choose visibility, and select the encoder workflow. Make the title descriptive rather than implying an official radio station or venue if it is not one.
- Plan around account limits. The cited French-language YouTube Help page states a concurrent limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key. One always-on stream is within those limits, but tests or alternate broadcasts can count toward them.
- Protect the stream key. Use the connection details provided by Studio to connect your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it publicly, include it in a description, or show it in a screenshot. If it is exposed, replace it in Studio before continuing.
4. Configure an encoder and test the signal
YouTube supports encoder-based delivery. Use a software encoder on a computer you already have, or dedicated encoder hardware if it suits your setup; the cited YouTube guidance does not require a particular device, camera, microphone, capture card, or brand. A radio-style stream built from a static image or looped visual does not need a camera simply because it is live.
- Load the scene and audio source. Add the cleared music playlist and chosen visual to the encoder. Confirm that the audio is present, steady, and not clipping, and that the visual is actually moving or changing if you intended it to.
- Use the encoder’s current YouTube preset. Select its supported YouTube streaming workflow rather than hand-entering low-level delivery protocol details. Google’s DASH documentation describes implementation requirements for encoder vendors, not a creator setup checklist: Google for Developers: Delivering Live YouTube Content via DASH. The cited sources do not establish a single bitrate, resolution, or keyframe interval for every setup, so do not treat an unsourced fixed number as universal.
- Connect to the scheduled event. Enter the Studio-provided stream key or other connection details in the encoder. Wait for the YouTube preview and check Studio’s stream health before making the event public.
- Run a rights-cleared test. An unlisted or private setting is not a substitute for a music license; only test with tracks whose permissions cover that test. Check the image, sound, connection stability, and any Studio notices before launch.
5. Operate the stream and decide what happens to the archive
Assign a person to check Studio and encoder status, especially when the stream is new. Keep a written restart procedure and a backup visual or audio source ready. For an intended round-the-clock broadcast, consider the failure points in your own setup—power, internet, encoder, and source playlist—and decide who can respond if one fails. A UPS, secondary connection, spare computer, or remote monitoring may help in a particular setup, but none is a universal YouTube requirement.

Choose an archive policy before going live. Keeping the live archive, disabling archiving where the current Studio controls allow it, and publishing an edited replay are different choices; each must fit the rights grant. YouTube notes that a completed live archive can receive a Content ID claim, so confirm replay rights and current Studio behavior rather than assuming a live-use license also covers saved video.
6. Troubleshoot the most likely failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube shows a copyright warning, placeholder, or stops the stream | A Content ID match or other rights issue; the channel may not be allowlisted even when a license exists. | Read the Studio notice, identify the matched track or material, and contact the rights holder to resolve the license or allowlist issue before restarting. Do not switch channels to get around a restriction. |
| The stream does not appear in Studio preview | The encoder may not be sending to the scheduled event, or the connection details may be wrong. | Confirm the correct event and stream key in Studio and encoder, then reconnect and wait for the preview and health status. |
| Studio reports poor stream health or the stream disconnects | Possible interruption in the internet connection, computer, encoder, or media source. | Check encoder status and connectivity, restore the audio/video source, and follow the documented restart procedure. Review Studio for a policy or copyright reason before relaunching. |
| The live broadcast worked, but the archive receives a claim | The track’s rights may cover live use but not the completed video, replay, territories, or monetization. | Check the written license against archive and replay use; adjust archive settings or resolve the claim through the rights holder as appropriate. |
| You cannot start a stream after a warning or restriction | YouTube may have applied a live-streaming restriction. Its French Help page says an account warning can block live streaming for 14 days; this is a platform rule that can change, not a universal copyright penalty. | Check the notice and current account status in YouTube Studio, follow YouTube’s stated process, and do not attempt to evade the restriction by switching channels: YouTube Help: Premiers pas avec le streaming en direct. |
