A livestream playlist usually means a playlist of livestream replays or other recordings; you can organize those videos into a queue or playlist, but the documented controls do not filter them by what you watched today.
What YouTube’s playlist controls can—and can’t—do
YouTube documents playlist looping, queues, and manual playlist management. Those let you repeat a list, line up videos for a session, and add, remove, or reorder items. The official help pages and IFrame Player API reference do not describe a daily watched-item exclusion setting. That is a limit of the documented controls, not proof that no account-specific or newly introduced interface could offer one.
Looping repeats; it does not skip today’s watched videos
Looping makes a video or playlist play again. It is useful when you want repetition, but it does not track which items played today or exclude them from the next pass. YouTube explains loop controls for supported desktop, mobile, TV, and console playback in its loop videos or playlists help.
Queues and playlists organize videos manually
A queue is useful for ordering videos for a viewing session. YouTube Help notes that a queue is not saved after the browser is closed unless you save it as a playlist. You can also add, remove, and reorder playlist items, but these are manual actions—not an automatic daily playback-history filter. The embedded-player API has no documented daily filter
Google’s YouTube IFrame Player API reference documents playlist looping and shuffle behavior. It does not document a control that excludes videos based on the viewer’s watch history for the current day. Do not assume an embedded player can read that history or provide this behavior automatically.
Workarounds you can use now
For one session: build a queue
- On YouTube in a desktop browser, add the videos you want to watch to the queue and arrange them in the order you want.
- Leave out videos you have already watched today; the queue does not make that decision for you.
- If you want to keep the list after closing the browser, save it as a playlist. Otherwise, the unsaved queue is not preserved after the browser closes.
For a recurring list: edit the playlist yourself
- Open the playlist containing the livestream replays or recordings.
- Remove or reorder videos manually based on what you have watched today, using YouTube’s playlist controls.
- Update the list again when your daily viewing changes; the documented playlist tools do not automatically reset or filter it by day.
For an embedded player: use only the documented playlist behavior
If you control a website with an embedded YouTube player, the IFrame Player API can control supported playlist behaviors such as looping and shuffling. A daily skip rule would require separate tracking logic, and the cited API documentation does not establish access to a viewer’s YouTube watch history. Any custom implementation would need to define its own tracking and be tested; it is not a built-in daily-history feature.

Third-party extensions and scripts
Some extensions or scripts may claim to hide or skip watched videos, but no particular tool is verified here. Before relying on one, check its current compatibility, permissions, privacy policy, and whether it genuinely distinguishes videos watched today from those watched earlier. Avoid granting access to browsing or account data unless you understand why it is needed.
