For one Hindi video, add it as an OBS Media Source and enable Loop. For a playlist of multiple files, use VLC Video Source and enable Loop Playlist. VLC must be installed for that source to appear; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC.
Choose the right OBS source

OBS documents Loop as replaying a Media Source file after it finishes. Loop Playlist restarts a VLC Video Source after it runs out of media files. OBS Media Sources documentation
Make a multi-video Hindi playlist repeat
- Open the OBS scene where the playlist should play.
- In the Sources dock, click + and choose VLC Video Source. OBS lists VLC as the source option for adding a playlist when VLC is installed. OBS Sources Guide
- Create the source if prompted. In its properties, add the Hindi video files to the playlist. Arrange them in the order you want them to play.
- Enable Loop Playlist. Leave Shuffle Playlist off if you want the files to play in their listed order; shuffle randomizes playback. The documented default for Loop Playlist is On, and for Shuffle Playlist it is Off. OBS Media Sources documentation
- Check the scene preview and confirm that the source is visible. If the source is hidden, its Visibility Behaviour setting determines whether playback continues, pauses, or stops. The documented default is “Stop when not visible, restart when visible.”
Loop a single Hindi video instead
- In the scene, click + in the Sources dock and choose Media Source.
- Select the video file in the source properties.
- Enable Loop so the file replays after playback completes. OBS documents Loop as off by default.
- Use Restart playback when source becomes active only if you want the video to start from the beginning when the source becomes active and visible. It does not replace Loop: the documented default for this activation setting is On. OBS Media Sources documentation
If VLC Video Source is missing
Install VLC, then reopen OBS and check the Sources menu again. OBS specifies that VLC must be installed for the VLC source and that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. If you only need to repeat one file, use Media Source with Loop instead; that method does not require the VLC playlist source.
Optional third-party playlist source
The third-party Media Playlist Source plugin is another option. Its listing describes a “Play first file when the last file in the list is played” option, alongside other playlist controls. It is not required for this setup because OBS’s VLC Video Source already has Loop Playlist. Check the plugin listing for current OBS-version compatibility before installing it.

Check the Hindi videos before using them on a live stream
Preview the playlist in OBS and make sure each file is included, plays as intended, and appears in the scene. If you plan to broadcast the playlist, confirm that you have the necessary rights to the music, recordings, and video; putting material in a playlist does not establish permission to stream it. Follow YouTube’s applicable copyright rules. Looping a playlist in OBS controls playback, not whether the content is permitted or eligible for a live stream.
