You can rebuild a 24/7 YouTube broadcast in OneStream Live, but the documented workflows do not provide a one-click transfer from Gyre. Prepare your media and YouTube details, then create a new OneStream 24/7 stream or use its documented existing-event or custom-RTMP route. Do not assume your Gyre playlist, event URL, stream key, analytics, or an uninterrupted handoff will carry over.
What changes when you move from Gyre?
Gyre describes its service as sending prerecorded video to YouTube and other RTMP destinations: the destination issues the RTMP key, and Gyre forwards the stream from its server. OneStream Live documents its own setup workflows, but the available instructions do not describe a direct Gyre-to-OneStream transfer or export. Gyre’s explanation of prerecorded streaming
Treat the move as a rebuild. Have the original video files available and be ready to review the YouTube event and broadcast details yourself. OneStream lists device, OneStream storage, and cloud storage as media sources; its documentation does not establish that it can import a Gyre playlist or retrieve Gyre-hosted media. Prepare before changing the broadcast
- Record the current setup. Note the YouTube channel and current event or watch URL, title, description, thumbnail, privacy and audience settings, schedule, playlist order, and source files. This is an inventory for rebuilding, not a promise that these items can be transferred.
- Confirm access to the source media. Locate the original recordings and check that you can add them from a device, OneStream storage, or an available cloud-storage connection.
- Choose your OneStream route. Use the native 24/7 workflow for its dedicated continuous-stream feature. Choose the existing-event workflow if you need to connect to a YouTube event, or custom RTMP if you intend to enter that event’s RTMP URL and stream key in OneStream.
- Plan the changeover. Review the new stream and its playback in YouTube Studio before retiring the old workflow. The cited documentation does not establish a service-to-service handoff or guarantee uninterrupted viewing, so do not plan on a zero-downtime switch.

Set up OneStream’s native 24/7 stream
OneStream’s Help Center says its 24/7 option is exclusive to YouTube, requires an Enterprise plan, and permits a scheduled run of up to 30 days. - Add the videos from your device, OneStream storage, or an available cloud-storage source.
- Select the YouTube channel and enter the stream details.
- Choose immediate start or a later schedule, then set the duration in days. Keep the documented 30-day maximum in mind.
- Review the stream in YouTube’s control room and confirm the broadcast is playing as expected.
Check the media sequence, durations, audio, and any loop or playlist behavior in the interface available to your account. The documentation describes adding videos but does not establish that your Gyre playlist settings transfer.
Use an existing YouTube event or custom RTMP
Existing-event workflow
OneStream documents a route for streaming to an existing YouTube event: connect the YouTube channel, choose the streaming method, select Existing Event, pick the event, add video, review the title, description, thumbnail, privacy, and schedule, then schedule the broadcast. Custom-RTMP workflow
- Create or open the YouTube event you intend to use and copy its RTMP URL and stream key.
- In OneStream, add a Custom RTMP destination and enter the URL and key.
- Connect, then review the event details and playback in YouTube’s control room.
OneStream’s custom-RTMP guide gives example advanced settings of video bitrate 3500, keyframes 2, audio 128, and 30/60 FPS. These are example settings from that guide, not universal requirements or a guarantee for every source video or channel. Can I transfer my Gyre stream, key, or event URL?
The documented material does not establish an automatic transfer of Gyre media, playlists, historical streams, analytics, or a YouTube event URL. It also does not settle whether a particular key should be rotated. Use the credentials shown for the YouTube event you choose in OneStream, and check YouTube and OneStream account guidance if you are unsure which key applies. Do not assume the old key or event will work simply because Gyre used it.

Verify the new stream before retiring Gyre
- Confirm the selected YouTube channel and event are the intended ones.
- Check the title, description, thumbnail, privacy, audience settings, and schedule.
- Confirm that the required source videos are present and in the intended order.
- Open the broadcast in YouTube’s control room and verify picture and audio.
- Keep in mind that the available guides do not promise a seamless handoff. Avoid assuming the old and new streams can run simultaneously on the same event.
Plan around the 30-day limit
The native OneStream 24/7 setup guide sets a maximum run duration of 30 days. Set a reminder to inspect the broadcast and arrange the next run before that limit. The guide does not say that a run renews itself automatically. This limit is stated for OneStream’s native 24/7 feature; do not assume it applies identically to the separate event or custom-RTMP workflows.

The Gyre playlist or videos are missing
OneStream’s documentation does not establish a Gyre import. Find the original files and add them from a supported source, then check the order and playback in the new setup.

The YouTube event does not appear
Confirm that the intended YouTube channel is connected in OneStream and that you selected the existing-event method. If you use custom RTMP instead, follow that route’s instructions to enter the event’s RTMP URL and stream key.
The custom-RTMP connection does not work
Recheck that the URL and key were copied from the intended YouTube event and entered in the matching Custom RTMP destination. The documented example settings are not guaranteed for every video; review the source and verify the resulting playback rather than treating the example values as universal.

The stream stops before the next planned run
For the native 24/7 workflow, check the scheduled duration against the 30-day maximum and arrange a subsequent run. The cited guide does not document automatic renewal.
