1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo multistream on OBS with Aitum, install the Aitum Multistream release that matches your operating system and OBS version, configure a separate destination for each platform, and check both the platforms’ ingest requirements and your computer’s ability to encode and send all outputs. Aitum describes the plugin as a free, local OBS tool with separate settings for each destination, but its current public materials do not establish a universal click-by-click setup or one bitrate that works for every platform.
What Aitum Multistream does
Aitum Multistream is an OBS Studio plugin for sending a broadcast from one OBS instance to multiple destinations. Aitum says each destination can have its own output settings, including bitrate, so you can configure targets separately rather than assuming every platform should receive identical settings. This is Aitum’s product description, not an independent performance test. See Aitum’s Multistream page and its official GitHub repository.
The plugin runs on your own machine; Aitum describes it as sending OBS output to several destinations without a cloud relay. That means the computer and internet connection you use for OBS remain part of the streaming setup.
Install the release that matches your setup
- Check your OBS version and operating system. Before downloading, note which OBS Studio version and operating system you use.
- Open Aitum’s official release page. Visit the Multistream releases, inspect the latest release’s files and requirements, and choose an asset that matches your system. The release listing surfaced version 1.0.8 as latest, but release information can change; confirm the current listing rather than relying on that version number.
- Follow the instructions for that release. Use Aitum’s current installation guidance and the instructions included with the matching asset. The public repository README provides build instructions, not a complete end-user installation walkthrough, so avoid applying steps from an older tutorial unless they match your current release and OBS installation.
- Restart OBS if the release instructions require it, then confirm the plugin is available. If it does not appear, recheck that you selected the correct operating-system asset and that its stated OBS requirements match your installation.
Configure destinations and their output settings
Use Aitum Multistream’s current controls in OBS to add each intended destination and configure its output settings separately. The exact current interface labels and dialog sequence are not established by Aitum’s surfaced public repository and release information, so follow the instructions packaged with your release rather than relying on guessed menu names.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Gather each platform’s stream details
For each destination, use that platform’s current creator or live-streaming setup to obtain the required connection details, such as its stream key or supported connection method. Treat keys as passwords: do not publish them, include them in a recording, or share screenshots that expose them. Check the platform’s own current documentation for its ingest requirements, permitted resolutions, bitrate range, and any account or channel prerequisites.
Set output choices per destination
Aitum says destinations can use different settings, including different bitrates. Choose settings against the receiving platform’s current requirements and the quality you intend to deliver there. The available evidence does not establish a universal bitrate, resolution, encoder preset, or keyframe interval for all destinations; avoid copying one platform’s values to another without checking. Confirm that the selected video and audio output options are supported by each service.

Check local capacity before going live
Because Aitum describes Multistream as operating from the creator’s own computer rather than a cloud relay, your setup must handle the encoding work and outbound traffic for the configured outputs. No reliable hardware threshold, safe number of destinations, or bandwidth formula is established here.
- Check that OBS can encode the selected outputs without persistent rendering or encoding overload.
- Check that your available upload connection can sustain the combined outbound streams, with room for normal connection variation and other household or office traffic.
- Keep the number of destinations and output settings within what your actual computer and connection can manage; do not infer a safe destination count from the plugin’s availability.
Verify every destination before a full broadcast
- Use a private, unlisted, or otherwise low-risk test where the platform and account settings allow it.
- Start the configured outputs and confirm that each destination receives the intended video and audio.
- Check for platform-side warnings, dropped frames, encoding overload, or mismatched output settings before announcing a full broadcast.
- If one target fails, verify that destination’s connection details and platform requirements independently, then retest it without assuming the other destinations share the same cause.
Troubleshooting common setup failures
Aitum Multistream does not appear in OBS
Check that the downloaded release asset is for your operating system and compatible with your OBS version. Revisit the release notes and installation instructions, and follow any required restart or installation steps for that specific release.

One destination does not receive the stream
Check that target’s stream key or connection details, account readiness, and current platform ingest requirements. A working output to another service does not prove that this destination is configured correctly.
The stream starts but video quality or stability is poor
Review the affected destination’s current resolution and bitrate requirements, then check OBS’s encoding status and the stability of your upload connection. Reduce the demands of the outputs if your local computer or connection cannot sustain the chosen settings; there is no evidence-backed universal setting that resolves every case.

Horizontal and vertical outputs are being confused
Ordinary multistreaming to several destinations is distinct from producing horizontal and vertical formats. Twitch’s documentation for horizontal-plus-vertical broadcasting discusses OBS with Aitum Vertical; that adjacent workflow does not establish Aitum Vertical as necessary for sending a standard OBS stream to multiple destinations.

If your goal is to keep pre-recorded content live on a YouTube channel around the clock, that is different from sending a live OBS broadcast to several platforms. StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos on YouTube: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It is not a camera-based live encoder or a multistream destination tool.
