Yes. The PS5 DualSense Edge pairs with iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV over Bluetooth. Sony lists support from iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, macOS Ventura 13.3, and tvOS 16.4, respectively. To pair it, turn the controller off, hold Create and PS until the light bar flashes, then select DualSense Edge Wireless Controller in the Apple device’s Bluetooth settings. Before you start
- Check that your device meets Sony’s DualSense Edge connection-support threshold: iOS 16.4 or later, iPadOS 16.4 or later, macOS Ventura 13.3 or later, or tvOS 16.4 or later, depending on the device. These are controller-connection requirements, not guarantees that every game or customization feature will work. (Sony)
- Charge the controller and keep it near the Apple device while pairing.
- Disconnect the USB cable before starting Bluetooth pairing.
- If the controller keeps reconnecting to a PS5 or another device, temporarily turn that device off or move out of its Bluetooth range.
- Install available software updates on the Apple device and controller. Sony points to the PlayStation Accessories application on Windows PC for DualSense Edge controller software updates; its cited guidance does not establish an update path through iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV. (Sony; Apple)
Apple’s broader controller-customization requirements are iOS 16 or later, iPadOS 16 or later, tvOS 16 or later, and macOS Ventura or later. Those are not substitutes for Sony’s more specific DualSense Edge connection thresholds. (Apple’s controller guide)
Put the DualSense Edge into Bluetooth pairing mode
- If the controller is on, hold PS until the lights turn off.
- Make sure no USB cable is connected.
- Hold the small Create button just to the upper-left of the touchpad, then hold PS as well.
- Keep holding until the light bar flashes, then release the buttons. The flashing light indicates the controller is discoverable.
Use Create, not Options. Create is the DualSense Edge button used for pairing; Share is the corresponding button name in older DualShock 4 instructions. Apple documents the same Create-plus-PS sequence for PlayStation controllers. (Apple)
Pair it with an iPhone
- Put the controller into pairing mode using the steps above.
- On the iPhone, open Settings > Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Under available devices, tap DualSense Edge Wireless Controller.
- If it shows as paired but does not connect, press and release PS once. Apple identifies this as a way to complete the connection. (Apple)
Pair it with an iPad
Put the controller into pairing mode, then open Settings > Bluetooth on the iPad and select DualSense Edge Wireless Controller. Sony lists iPadOS 16.4 or later for DualSense Edge Bluetooth and USB support. (Sony)

Pair it with a Mac
- Put the controller into pairing mode.
- On the Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings > Bluetooth.
- Find DualSense Edge Wireless Controller under nearby devices and click Connect.
Sony lists macOS Ventura 13.3 or later for DualSense Edge Bluetooth and USB connections. A data-capable USB cable is another option for wired play or troubleshooting. (Sony)
Pair it with Apple TV
- Put the controller into pairing mode.
- On Apple TV, open Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth.
- Select DualSense Edge Wireless Controller from the nearby-device list.
Sony lists tvOS 16.4 or later for DualSense Edge support. Apple says Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD support up to four Bluetooth game controllers at once, but only one controller when Apple TV is also using a Bluetooth audio accessory. (Sony; Apple)
Use a USB cable instead
Apple says a DualSense Edge can automatically pair and connect when plugged directly into an Apple device using a USB cable that supports both data and charging. A cable that only charges the controller will not provide the required data connection. (Apple)

Pair the Edge with up to four devices
The DualSense Edge can store up to four Bluetooth pairings, each assigned to a slot. These are remembered pairings, not four simultaneous active connections. To assign one deliberately, hold PS and the slot’s action button for more than five seconds, then select the controller in the target device’s Bluetooth settings. Sony says the player-indicator lights correspond to the slot number. (Sony)

To let the controller assign a slot automatically, hold Create + PS for at least three seconds, until the lights flash twice, then select it from the target device’s Bluetooth list. If all four slots are occupied, Sony says the pairing that has gone unused the longest is replaced. (Sony)

To switch to a registered device, turn that device on, then hold its assigned action button plus PS for about three seconds. Release when the light bar and player indicator blink. The target device needs to be awake and in range. If the switch does not reconnect, select the controller manually in that device’s Bluetooth settings.

Which DualSense Edge features work on Apple devices?
Pairing enables controller input, not every feature available on a PS5. Sony’s compatibility guidance sets these limits; individual games and apps determine which supported inputs they use. (Sony)

Apple also offers system-level controller customization on supported software. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > General > Game Controller, select the controller, then choose Default Controls. On Apple TV, open Settings > General > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth, select the controller, then choose Customization. On Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings > Game Controllers and select the controller. These Apple settings are separate from the Edge’s PS5 profile-management features; do not assume Edge profiles, back-button assignments, trigger settings, or stick sensitivity transfer to Apple devices. Fix DualSense Edge connection problems
The controller does not appear in Bluetooth
- Hold PS until the controller turns off, unplug any USB cable, then repeat the Create + PS pairing sequence until the light bar flashes.
- Move the controller closer and toggle Bluetooth off and back on in the Apple device’s settings.
- Restart the Apple device, install available software updates, and reduce nearby active Bluetooth connections.
- If it still does not appear or connect, reset the controller using Sony’s guidance. (Sony; Apple)
It appears, but will not connect
Select the controller again in Bluetooth settings, then press and release PS. If that does not work, forget the controller in Bluetooth settings and pair it again. Make sure it is not actively connected to a PS5 or another device; a USB data connection can help determine whether Bluetooth is the problem. (Apple; Apple)
It keeps reconnecting to the PS5
Turn off the PS5 temporarily or move out of Bluetooth range while pairing. You can also give the Apple device its own Edge pairing slot and use the slot-switching method above. To return to PS5 wireless play, connect the controller to the console with a compatible USB cable and press PS. Once the account-selection screen appears, remove the cable to continue wirelessly. It disconnects after a few minutes
Check the controller’s charge, reduce nearby Bluetooth connections, and check whether the Apple device is going to sleep. Also confirm the controller has not switched to another registered device, and install available updates on both sides. Apple recommends reducing connected Bluetooth devices and updating the Apple device and controller when troubleshooting connection issues. (Apple)

It connects, but a game does not respond
A Bluetooth connection does not mean every game supports a controller. Test a known controller-compatible game or app, or check Apple’s controller settings where available. You can also test another game or a supported PS Remote Play setup; Sony lists compatible games and applications, including PS Remote Play, as use cases. (Sony)
The cable charges but does not connect
Try a USB cable specified for both data transfer and charging. Charging alone is not enough for Apple’s documented USB pairing method. (Apple)
