If you mean YouTube Premium, you may be able to pay through Google Play with UPI in India. Choose UPI only if it appears at checkout, approve the payment in a supported UPI app, and review any UPI AutoPay mandate before authorizing recurring billing. A “24/7 stream” is usually a channel’s livestream, not a separate YouTube subscription: Premium does not buy access to a particular stream.
First, identify what you want to pay for
“YouTube 24/7 streaming service” can refer to different things. YouTube Premium is a subscription associated with your Google account. A 24/7 livestream is content run by a channel; watching it is not itself a YouTube billing product. A channel membership is a separate monthly purchase for perks offered by that channel.
- YouTube Premium: Follow the Premium offer shown to your account and check whether UPI is available at checkout.
- A channel membership: Choose Join on the channel only if you want its specific perks. Payment options depend on the checkout shown for that membership.
- A channel that broadcasts continuously: You can watch its stream without treating it as a Premium plan. Premium does not grant access to a particular channel’s stream.
Google says Google Play supports UPI for eligible app subscriptions in India, and YouTube Premium is an example of a subscription that can use UPI AutoPay. Payment choices can vary by country and billing platform, so availability for your account is determined by the checkout.
Pay for YouTube Premium with UPI
- Sign in to the right Google account. Use the account that should own the subscription. Check that its country and payment profile are set for India; payment methods differ by country.
- Open the YouTube Premium offer. Choose a plan displayed for your account. There is no single price established here for every plan and billing context, so rely on the amount shown before purchase.
- Check the billing platform and payment options. If Google Play is handling checkout and offers UPI, select it. YouTube’s membership details or payment records can help identify the billing platform. New Android subscribers to YouTube Premium and Music Premium have been billed through Google Play since 2022, but your account’s details are the relevant check.
- Select UPI and approve the request. Google’s published instructions say to choose “Pay with UPI” from the payment method in the cart, then approve the purchase in a supported UPI app. Confirm the merchant and amount in that app before approving.
- Read the AutoPay mandate if billing recurs. Check its amount, frequency, and duration. Setting up a mandate and starting the subscription require your approval; later scheduled payments may be processed without authentication each time, according to the mandate terms.
- Confirm the subscription. Return to YouTube and check Purchases and memberships or Paid memberships for the active membership, payment method, and next billing date.
Google’s India payment guidance lists UPI for app subscriptions and recurring UPI AutoPay through a mandate. It also lists Mastercard, Visa, and RuPay cards (RuPay for one-time purchases only) and Google Play balance among payment categories. The same page says netbanking was discontinued as a Google Play payment method from October 2025 until further notice. Since methods can change, check the current checkout and Google Play payment methods for India.

If you mean a channel membership
A paid channel membership is separate from YouTube Premium and provides perks specific to that channel. On the channel, choose Join to see the membership offer. Before confirming, check the displayed amount, renewal terms, and payment methods. YouTube describes channel memberships as automatically charged at the start of each monthly billing cycle; India recurring payments can require eMandate verification. The available sources do not establish that UPI appears for every channel membership, so do not assume it will: use only a method actually displayed in that checkout. Why UPI may not appear or a payment may fail
- UPI is missing from checkout: Confirm that the account and payment profile are for India, and check which platform is billing the subscription. Payment options can differ by platform. If UPI still is not offered, select another method displayed at checkout.
- The AutoPay mandate cannot be approved: Use a supported UPI app and check whether your bank supports recurring charges. Google Play requires an eligible UPI AutoPay mandate; a bank may not support the recurring transaction.
- YouTube asks you to verify payment details: Follow the prompt. YouTube says verification or re-entry of payment details may be needed under India’s RBI eMandate requirements.
- A renewal stops after the first payment: Review the mandate status, payment details, and bank support for recurring charges. Check the subscription’s billing platform and follow any verification prompt from YouTube or Google Play.
- You expect every checkout to work around the clock: NPCI says UPI payments are instant and available 24/7, but that general availability does not guarantee that a particular merchant checkout, bank, UPI app, account, or recurring mandate will support or complete a purchase at every hour.
