To play ARC Raiders during its free access event, open the game’s store listing on Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation between October 8, 2026, at 09:00 UTC and October 12, 2026, at 08:00 UTC, then follow that store’s install and launch prompts. Embark says the event provides access to the full game. You’ll need an Embark ID.
When is ARC Raiders free to play?
The event runs from October 8, 2026, at 09:00 UTC through October 12, 2026, at 08:00 UTC, according to the official ARC Raiders event announcement. The schedule is given in UTC, so convert both times to your local time zone; the local start and end may fall on different calendar dates.
Which platforms are included?
The event announcement names Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. It does not name Epic Games Store or GeForce NOW for this event, even though those appear among the game’s general platform listings. Check the official ARC Raiders site and your platform’s store listing for current availability in your territory.
Choose a platform you can access and where you can join your friends. Embark describes cross-platform social play across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, but the event announcement does not provide a platform-by-platform performance or price comparison.

How do I get access?
- During the announced UTC window, open the official ARC Raiders listing in the store for Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation.
- Follow that store’s prompts to install and launch the game. The event notice does not specify the exact store-button labels or whether preloading is available.
- On first launch, create an Embark ID when prompted, or link your existing ID if you already have one.
Store availability and prompts can vary by territory and platform. Check your own store listing for eligibility and any requirements shown there; the event announcement does not establish regional access rules or console subscription requirements.
Is this the full game, and does progress carry over?
Yes. The ARC Raiders Team says the event grants access to the full game, describing it as a chance to try the “award-winning extraction adventure before you buy” in its October 2, 2026 announcement. The announcement does not say whether progress made during free access carries over after the event ends, so don’t assume it will.

Why do I need an Embark ID?
An Embark ID is required to play. According to the Embark Help Center, new players can create one when prompted on their first launch, while returning players can link an existing ID. Embark says the ID stores progress and cosmetics and supports cross-progression and cross-platform play across Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The free-event platform list remains the narrower list in the event announcement.

The event coincides with the Frozen Trail update. Embark says new players can access Pendola Pass immediately if they team up with players who have already unlocked the map. The announcement does not say that a new player can select Pendola Pass alone from the start.
