You generally cannot install the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 as a normal Android game. The reliable ways to play it on a phone or tablet are streaming from a cloud service—GeForce NOW or Xbox Cloud Gaming—or remote-playing a copy running on your own gaming PC or Xbox. Your Android device displays the video and sends controller input; it is not rendering the full PC game locally.
Choose the right method

Is there an official Android version?
There is no official native Android version identified in the current Steam listing or CD PROJEKT RED’s PC requirements. The PC release calls for a 64-bit operating system, DirectX 12, an SSD, 12 GB of RAM and a desktop-class GPU such as a GTX 1060 6 GB, RX 580 8 GB or Arc A380. Those are not Android installation requirements; they explain why streaming is the practical mainstream solution.
Do not download random “Cyberpunk 2077 Android APK” files. An unofficial APK is likely mislabeled, modified, malicious or unauthorized. Compatibility-layer and emulation experiments are separate enthusiast projects, not a dependable replacement for the official streaming methods.
Before you start
- An Android phone or tablet supported by your chosen service.
- A stable connection. NVIDIA lists Android 7.0 or later, 1 GB of available memory, 15 Mbps for HD up to 60 fps, 25 Mbps for 1080p/60 and under 80 ms latency to an NVIDIA data center. Xbox lists at least 10 Mbps on mobile devices and recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
- A physical Bluetooth or USB controller. Touch controls may exist, but they are uncomfortable for driving, combat, aiming and inventory management.
- The correct license, subscription and edition for the service. A Steam purchase is not an Xbox license, and an Xbox purchase does not automatically provide a PC-store copy for GeForce NOW.
- Battery headroom, ventilation and headphones if you are playing in a shared space.
Method 1: GeForce NOW
NVIDIA lists Cyberpunk 2077 among supported GeForce NOW titles. You still need access to the game through a supported PC storefront; GeForce NOW supplies the cloud computer, not necessarily the game license.

- Confirm which PC storefront and edition GeForce NOW currently supports. Check the app before buying; support can change.
- Install the official GeForce NOW Android app from NVIDIA’s current download page or supported app-store listing. Avoid APK mirrors.
- Sign in or create an NVIDIA account.
- Link the relevant game-store account. NVIDIA’s Android quick-start guide recommends doing account and digital-store setup on a PC or Mac first.
- Search for Cyberpunk 2077, choose the matching storefront, and authenticate if prompted.
- Pair your controller before launching. NVIDIA’s virtual gamepad can be useful briefly but is not recommended for long-term play.
- Start the session and sign in to an additional launcher only if requested. Steam, Epic and GOG authentication, DLC detection and CD PROJEKT RED account features can differ.
What you should see: a streamed video feed with your controller input sent to a remote PC. Cloud-stream settings and the game’s own graphics settings are separate; adjust motion blur, crowd density or resolution only if the stream is stable but difficult to read.
If GeForce NOW cannot find the game
- Verify that the correct store account is linked and that it owns the title.
- Search for the base game, not only “Ultimate Edition” or “Phantom Liberty.”
- Check regional availability, membership-tier limits and temporary service outages.
- Restart the app and sign in again. Do not buy a second copy until the storefront and edition are confirmed.
Method 2: Xbox Cloud Gaming
Use the official Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox cloud listing to check whether cloud play is available in your region and on your plan. Xbox says availability changes by region, plan, platform and time; the listing also states that game-purchase and eligible Game Pass conditions apply.
- Confirm the live listing shows cloud play for your account, region and intended Game Pass plan.
- Open the Xbox app or visit xbox.com/play in a supported Android browser such as Chrome or Edge.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns or accesses the game.
- Pair an Xbox-compatible Bluetooth or USB controller.
- Search for Cyberpunk 2077, start the cloud session and check that your save and expansion content appear.
Edition warning: the Xbox listing says the Xbox One version stopped receiving patches after November 8, 2022. An Xbox Series X|S version is required for later patches and Phantom Liberty. Do not assume every Xbox license presents the same current build.

If the Xbox listing is missing
Check the exact Game Pass tier, country, Microsoft profile and whether the title is cloud-playable rather than merely downloadable. Catalog membership can change, so verify immediately before subscribing or purchasing.
Method 3: Remote-play your own PC or Xbox
Remote play is different from cloud gaming: the game remains installed and running on your own capable Windows PC or Xbox, while Android receives the video and sends input. Use the platform’s established remote-play client (for example, Steam Link for a compatible PC setup or Xbox’s remote-play feature), and follow its current setup screens.
- Connect the host PC or console to the router by Ethernet where possible.
- Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or a strong modern connection on Android.
- Allow the host to remain powered on and prevent sleep during play.
- Local-network play is usually easier than playing from outside home. Internet remote play adds upload-bandwidth, firewall, wake and latency problems.
Remote play does not let a weak phone run the PC game without a host machine.

Controllers and touchscreen play
A physical controller is strongly recommended. Bluetooth Xbox controllers, DualSense or DualShock 4 pads, USB-C controllers and phone-mounted devices in the Backbone One or Razer Kishi style are all possible choices, provided your phone’s connector, case clearance, Android support and button mapping are compatible. NVIDIA specifically documents Xbox, DualSense/DualShock 4, Backbone One, Razer Kishi V2 and SteelSeries Stratus Duo support. Touch or virtual controls may work on some services, but the number of simultaneous controls makes them a poor fit for this RPG.

Mobile data can work, but cloud gaming can consume data quickly. Cellular congestion causes latency spikes, quality drops and battery drain; carrier hotspot or data-plan restrictions may apply. Prefer 5 GHz Wi-Fi, stop other downloads and video streams, remove a thick case, avoid direct heat and disable aggressive battery-saver modes. A fast speed test alone is not enough—latency, jitter, packet loss and distance from the provider’s region matter.

Black screen or launch failure
Close the session, restart the app, temporarily disable a VPN or filtering DNS, reauthenticate the correct store account and try 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Test another supported game to determine whether the issue is title-specific. Check the provider’s status page before repeating purchases.

Controller connected but not detected
Pair it before opening the stream, confirm Android sees it in Bluetooth settings, update firmware with the manufacturer’s official app and try USB-C if supported. Close controller-mapping apps or other games that may capture input.
Blurry picture, stutter or lag
Move closer to the router, use 5 GHz, stop competing traffic and lower the streaming resolution or frame-rate target. If the stream is smooth but the game image itself is hard to read, adjust in-game resolution scaling, textures or motion blur instead. Provider queues and regional capacity can also affect consistency.

Check the store account, platform and edition. PC, Xbox and PlayStation saves are not automatically interchangeable in every combination. Confirm that Phantom Liberty is owned or included in the edition you launched; linking a CD PROJEKT RED account does not guarantee unrestricted cross-platform saves.

Phone overheating
Remove the case, lower brightness slightly, avoid low-quality chargers while playing, prefer Wi-Fi over a weak cellular signal and take breaks during long sessions.
Which option should you choose?
- Choose GeForce NOW if you own a compatible PC-store copy and want the clearest no-PC route.
- Choose Xbox Cloud Gaming if you are already in the Xbox/Game Pass ecosystem and the current listing supports your region, plan and Series X|S-capable edition.
- Choose remote play if you already own a capable gaming PC or Xbox and want to use that hardware without another cloud rig.
In every case, treat Android as the screen and controller endpoint, verify the exact edition and account, and use official apps and provider pages rather than unofficial APK downloads.
