Yes: Amazon Prime members can stream Fortnite through Amazon Luna at no additional Luna charge in supported regions. Fortnite itself is free to play; the Prime benefit is cloud access, not free V-Bucks, skins, or a Battle Pass. Amazon has retired the Prime Gaming name and folded its gaming benefits into Luna, so you do not need a separate Prime Gaming app or membership tier. Epic’s Fortnite-on-Luna page explains the game offer; Amazon’s Luna FAQ reflects the current branding.
What the Prime offer includes—and what it doesn’t
Luna runs Fortnite on Amazon’s servers and streams the game to a supported device, so you do not need to install the game locally or own a gaming PC or console. Prime members can use the included Luna access without subscribing separately to Luna Premium. Prime itself is a paid membership, though an eligible trial may be available.
- Included: cloud access to Fortnite through Luna for eligible Prime members in supported regions.
- Not included: free V-Bucks, cosmetics, Battle Passes, or other paid Fortnite content. In-game purchases remain separate.
- Account: sign in with your existing Epic Games account when prompted so you use the Fortnite identity associated with your progress. Do not create a second account just to launch the game.
Luna Premium is a separate paid tier for a broader game catalog. You do not need it just to play Fortnite through the Prime-included offer. If you encounter a paid signup screen, do not start a Premium trial automatically; first check your Amazon account, country, and the official Fortnite Luna route.
How to launch Fortnite on Luna
- Open Epic’s official Fortnite on Amazon Luna page and choose Play Now.
- Sign in to the Amazon account that has Prime.
- Sign in to or link your Epic Games account when prompted. Use the account you normally use for Fortnite.
- Choose a supported input method: touch controls on supported mobile devices, keyboard and mouse on supported computers and Chromebooks, or a compatible Bluetooth controller.
- Start Fortnite in Luna. The game is streamed, so a local Fortnite download is not required.
There is also a Fire TV route in the United States and United Kingdom: Amazon announced that, beginning July 23, 2026, Prime members with supported Fire TV devices could access Luna games from the Games tab in the Prime Video app. This integration is not a guarantee that every Fire TV model has the same support; check Amazon’s announcement and current device compatibility.

Supported devices and controls
Epic lists Windows PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad through Safari, Android phones, Chromebook and Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and select Samsung Smart TVs. These are platform categories, not a promise that every device, browser version, operating system, or TV model works. Confirm compatibility on Epic’s current Luna page before troubleshooting a device-specific problem.

Epic confirms touch controls on mobile, keyboard and mouse on Windows, Mac, and Chromebook, and Bluetooth controllers on supported Luna devices. Amazon notes support for a range of Bluetooth controllers, including some Xbox and PlayStation models, but that does not mean every controller works with every browser, operating system, or TV. Check compatibility before buying an accessory. A Luna Controller is optional, not a requirement.
Countries where cloud Luna is listed
Amazon’s Luna announcement lists cloud-delivered games in these countries: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg. This list is for Luna cloud gaming, not a blanket guarantee that every device or account can launch Fortnite in every listed country. Prime members elsewhere should not assume the Fortnite streaming offer is available; check the live service and Epic page for the account region.

Amazon says rotating downloadable PC games remain a Prime benefit in countries where Luna cloud-delivered games are unavailable. That separate benefit should not be confused with the ability to stream Fortnite. Amazon’s Luna announcement has the current listed countries and program details.
Connection quality matters more than the headline speed
Amazon’s published guidance calls for a sustained connection of at least 10 Mbps for 1080p streaming. It recommends a wired connection or a wireless router supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. That speed is a streaming guideline, not a promise of smooth or competitive Fortnite play. Latency, Wi-Fi congestion, packet loss, and distance from Luna servers can affect responsiveness and image quality. Epic describes the practical requirement as a high-speed, low-latency, stable connection.
- Use Ethernet when practical; otherwise try a less congested 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection.
- Pause other heavy downloads or streams and test whether responsiveness improves.
- Judge the connection by stability and input delay as well as download speed.
- Be cautious on capped mobile data: cloud video can use substantial bandwidth.
Cloud streaming is convenient for casual play on devices that cannot run Fortnite natively, but it can add input delay or image compression. If latency remains frustrating, native Fortnite on a console, PC, or supported mobile device is the better fit—especially for competitive play.

Progress, modes, and feature differences
Use the same Epic Games account you use on your other platforms. That is the practical way to access your usual Fortnite identity. Do not assume that every local setting, replay, platform-specific entitlement, or control configuration will carry over unchanged.
Fortnite is available through Luna, but support for every current mode or feature is not established in a complete mode-by-mode list. Check the live Luna experience for the modes and features you need; cloud-platform support can differ from native PC, console, and mobile versions.

Prime Gaming was Amazon’s earlier branding for gaming benefits. Amazon’s redesigned Luna program is now the gaming hub for Prime members, while older Amazon pages and articles may still use the retired name. You do not need to locate a separate Prime Gaming app or sign up for a Prime Gaming tier to access the current Luna offer. Amazon’s Luna FAQ addresses the change.

Older Luna guides may also describe third-party stores, individual game purchases, or third-party subscriptions. Amazon says those Luna offerings ended beginning April 10, 2026, and previously purchased titles remained playable through Luna only until June 10, 2026. Luna asks for payment
Leave the paid signup flow and return to Epic’s Fortnite Luna page. Verify that you are signed in to the Prime-holding Amazon account and that cloud Luna is available for your country and device. You should not need Luna Premium just to use the Prime-included Fortnite offer.
Fortnite is missing or will not launch
Check regional availability, device and browser support, and the live Luna catalog. Try a supported desktop browser or another supported device, then verify your Amazon and Epic sign-ins. Service rollout or temporary catalog issues can also affect what appears.

The game stutters or feels delayed
Try Ethernet or less congested 5 GHz Wi-Fi, stop other high-bandwidth activity, and assess latency and stability rather than speed alone. If supported on your device, test a controller instead of touch. Persistent delay is a reason to use native Fortnite rather than cloud streaming.
Your progress or purchases appear missing
Confirm that you signed in with the Epic account you used previously. A different platform login or newly created Epic account can make familiar progress appear absent. Do not assume every platform-specific entitlement transfers; check the account and the relevant platform’s Fortnite support information.
When Luna makes sense compared with other options

Epic identifies Xbox Cloud Gaming as another cloud-streaming route for Fortnite. Luna is a straightforward option if you already have Prime and a reliable connection; it is not the only way to play Fortnite free, and it is not necessarily the best choice for competitive play.
