For Travis Touchdown’s full story, play No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, then No More Heroes 3. Travis Strikes Again is a story-continuing spin-off set between the second and third numbered games.
What is the No More Heroes game order?
- No More Heroes (2007)
- No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (2010)
- Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (2019)
- No More Heroes 3 (2021 on Nintendo Switch; 2022 on additional platforms)
This is both the release sequence and the recommended narrative order. The official No More Heroes 3 introduction places Travis Strikes Again several years after No More Heroes 2 and identifies No More Heroes 3 as the numbered series’ return. The Travis Strikes Again overview specifies that seven years have passed since the events of the second game.
What each game contributes to the story
No More Heroes
The 2007 Wii original introduces Travis Touchdown and the United Assassins Association (UAA) rankings. The series follows Travis as he faces other assassins in pursuit of the top spot.
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
The 2010 Wii sequel continues Travis’s story. Play it before Travis Strikes Again, whose setup depends on the passage of time after this game.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

No More Heroes 3
The third numbered entry follows Travis Strikes Again in the story order. It launched on Nintendo Switch in 2021, with releases for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC in 2022.
