To reach the House of Hope in Act 3, use Helsik’s portal ritual at the Devil’s Fee in the Lower City. To free Hope, take the Orphic Hammer to the prison beneath the House and use its Unshackling Strike on both red restraining crystals. Raphael confronts your party when you return to the entrance portal, so the rescue leads straight into the escape and boss sequence.
How to get to the House of Hope

Go to the Devil’s Fee in the Lower City during Act Three and speak with Helsik about opening a portal to the House of Hope.

Complete the portal ritual with Helsik. It transports your party to the House of Hope, which is in Avernus.

Secure the Orphic Hammer before freeing Hope
The Orphic Hammer is required to break Hope’s restraints. You can get it through either of two routes:

Accept Raphael’s deal: Raphael can provide the hammer, but taking the deal affects the surrounding story and contract state.

Steal the hammer in the House of Hope: This is the independent route if you do not accept Raphael’s deal.

Explore the House without immediately provoking its residents
If Hope asks for help after you enter, accept her request and keep the Debtor’s Attire disguise she provides. Wearing it prevents the House’s residents from immediately turning hostile while you explore.
Find Hope’s prison and break her restraints

Look for the hatch on the eastern side of the House, just south of the outer portal area. It leads down to Hope’s prison.

Equip the Orphic Hammer and use Unshackling Strike on one of the red restraining crystals.

Use the same attack on the second red crystal. Both must be destroyed to free Hope.

Once freed, Hope joins your party as an attached follower.
Prepare for Raphael at the exit
After rescuing Hope, return to the entrance portal. Raphael confronts the party there, beginning the House of Hope escape and boss sequence; do not expect to leave without that encounter.
