If Larix Broadcaster stops publishing after your Android phone loses Wi-Fi, reconnect the phone to a working network, then return to Larix and resume or start the stream. To allow Larix to attempt a connection even when it does not detect network presence, enable Settings > Connections > Advanced settings > Don’t check network presence.
Reconnect Larix after Wi-Fi returns
- Reconnect the phone to Wi-Fi. Check that the network is usable by loading a page or otherwise confirming internet access; being connected to a Wi-Fi network alone does not guarantee that the streaming destination is reachable.
- Open Larix Broadcaster and find the setting. Go to Settings > Connections > Advanced settings.
- Enable “Don’t check network presence.” Softvelum says Larix’s default network-presence check prevents starting when no network is available and does not retry when the network occasionally goes offline. This setting permits a connection attempt when starting or resuming even if Larix does not detect network presence.
- Return to the preview and resume or start the stream. The setting permits an attempt; it does not restore Wi-Fi, make an unreachable server available, or guarantee that an interrupted live session resumes automatically.
These instructions are for Larix Broadcaster on Android. Softvelum lists Android 7.0 or later as the minimum supported version on its Android app page.
If Larix still will not publish
Confirm the connection and destination
Check that the phone still has internet access, then inspect the selected Larix connection and compare its saved destination details with the current values from the receiving service. For RTMP, the destination URL combines the server and application address with the stream name or key. Use the receiving service’s current Android setup instructions; Softvelum’s documentation reference links to Larix connection setup resources. Never post or share your stream key publicly.
Larix Android supports more than RTMP, including SRT publishing in Push (Caller), Listen, and Rendezvous modes. Follow the setup details for the protocol and receiving service you actually use rather than assuming every connection is RTMP; Softvelum describes the app’s protocols on its Android page.

Do not look for the iOS-only retry control
Softvelum’s FAQ labels “Reconnect timeout w/o network” as iOS-specific. It is not the Android setting for this problem. Larix also lists a general Reconnect timeout in Advanced connections settings, described as the time it waits before trying to connect again; that is distinct from the iOS-specific control.
