If you can still access the email linked to your Supercell ID, try signing in through the Supercell ID menu in the game. If you cannot access that email—or cannot sign in—contact Support through the game’s Settings > Help and Support. Supercell may help change the linked email after verifying that you own the account; recovery is not guaranteed.
Choose the recovery path that matches your situation
| Your situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| You can access the email linked to Supercell ID | Open the game’s Supercell ID menu and try signing in with that email. Supercell says signing in can restore access to the associated progress. Supercell’s lost-access instructions. |
| You cannot access the linked email or cannot sign in | Open the game, go to Settings > Help and Support, then tap the contact button in the top right. Keep the request in the in-game Support flow. Supercell’s lost-access instructions. |
What to give Support to verify ownership
Support needs enough information to determine whether you own the account. If it verifies your ownership of the Supercell ID, Supercell says it can help you regain access by changing the linked email. Have a new email address ready that is not already connected to a Supercell ID. Supercell’s lost-access instructions.
If Account Protection is off
Provide as many of these details as you can:
- Your Player ID or Player Tag
- The account name and level
- Your Clan, Club, Neighborhood, or Task Force, if applicable
- Purchase transaction IDs
A Player Tag can help Support find the account, but it is not enough on its own. If you are locked out, you may be able to find it on an in-game friend’s profile, in the Friends list on another account you can access, or in a shared group roster. Supercell’s instructions for finding a Player Tag.
If Account Protection is on
Supercell says Account Protection can help recover an account when you lose access to its Supercell ID email. During recovery or an email change, you may be able to verify with an SMS code or a Recovery Code. Recovery Codes are created when you activate the feature; keep them somewhere secure. Generating replacement codes invalidates the old ones. Supercell’s Account Protection instructions.

How Account Protection works—and its limits
To enable it, use Settings > Supercell ID > settings cogwheel > Account Protection > Activate. Supercell says Account Protection cannot be disabled through Settings or Support. You can change the linked phone number or generate new Recovery Codes in the Supercell ID settings. SMS verification is available only in supported regions, and the feature may be unavailable to Young Player accounts or accounts with unusual activity. Supercell’s Account Protection instructions.
If SMS codes are not arriving
- Check your connection and try toggling airplane mode.
- Check whether other text messages are arriving; on Android, also check the spam folder.
- If you requested too many codes in a short time, wait a couple of hours before trying again.
These are Supercell’s suggested checks; they do not guarantee that a code will arrive. Supercell’s Account Protection instructions.

Avoid account-recovery scams
Start the conversation yourself through in-game Help and Support. Supercell warns that scammers may impersonate Support and says it will not unexpectedly contact you to ask for Supercell ID login codes. Share verification or Recovery Codes only with Support in a conversation you initiated through the game. Never share account credentials with a third party or try to recover someone else’s account. Supercell states: “Attempting to recover other players’ accounts through Support is considered phishing.” Supercell’s account-safety guidance.
For prevention, Supercell recommends enabling two-factor authentication on the email account linked to Supercell ID. This helps secure that email account; it is not a shortcut for recovering game access. Supercell’s account-safety guidance.
