If you can’t access the email address or phone number on your EA Account, first try to recover the mailbox, then try signing in with a platform account already linked to that EA Account. If neither works, contact EA Help and request account recovery. EA says it can try to recover an account; it does not guarantee that every case can be resolved.
Try these recovery routes in order
-
Recover the email account
Contact the provider for the email address attached to your EA Account. The provider may offer a password reset, security questions, identity checks, or verification through an alternate email. This is often the most direct way to receive EA’s password-reset message.

Sign in with a platform account already linked to EA
On EA’s login page, choose a linked account such as PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Apple, Facebook, or Google. If the platform account is linked to the EA Account you need, signing in may let you access EA Help and view account information. An unlinked platform account will not recover the original EA Account.
-
Check the account email if you regain access
If you can sign in using a phone number or linked platform account, check your EA Account email settings. The address may be partially masked. Some PlayStation and Xbox games may also display the account email in their settings, but the steps differ by game.

Use a recognized device if EA offers it
EA may offer identity verification on a device you use often. The suggested process is to sign in on that device, launch a game with online features, and follow the prompts. This option is conditional: it may not be available to every user or appear on every attempt.
-
Contact EA Help if you remain locked out
If you cannot regain access through those routes, contact EA Help about being locked out of your account and ask to recover it. EA describes this as an attempt, not a guaranteed outcome.

Prepare information that can help EA identify the account
Gather the original email address used for the EA Account, even if you can no longer open that mailbox. EA also asks for identifying details and purchase records where available:
- Your EA ID and linked account names or IDs, such as an Xbox Gamertag or PlayStation Network Online ID.
- Invoice numbers for games bought through an EA platform.
- If the account may have been hacked, game product codes; for mobile-game recovery, the mobile game ID may also be relevant.
EA’s account recovery guidance lists information to prepare. Do not share your password or verification codes with anyone claiming to help.

- ULTIMATE TEAM CONTENT — Use FC Points to purchase Packs, Draft entries, Evolutions slots, and Stadium customisation items to build and upgrade your Ultimate Team.
- PREMIUM PASSES ACCESS — Redeem FC Points for Premium Passes that unlock additional rewards and progression opportunities.
- CLUBS CUSTOMIZATION — Enhance your Clubs experience with Cosmetics, Archetype card backgrounds, and Consumables available through the in‑game store.
What will not solve the problem by itself
- Password reset: EA normally sends the reset link to the account email. If you cannot access that mailbox, requesting a reset does not restore access to it.
- A new platform link: A platform login is useful only if that account is already linked to the EA Account you are trying to recover. EA has a separate process for console-only players to create and link a new EA Account; doing that is not recovery of the original account or its data.
- Changing account details: EA says email and EA ID changes are limited to once every 30 days, except when restoring a previously associated email. This account-management rule does not bypass identity verification during recovery.
If you think the account was hacked
Use EA’s hacked-account recovery guidance rather than treating the issue as a routine forgotten password. Have the original email, linked account identifiers, and any requested game product codes ready. For a mobile game, EA may ask for the mobile game ID.
