On PS5, open PlayStation Store, press Triangle, then select … (More) > Redeem Code. Enter the gift card’s 12-digit code and choose Redeem. Any wallet funds or content go to the account signed in when you redeem the code.
Redeem your gift card on PS5
- Sign in to the PlayStation account that should receive the wallet funds or content.
- Open PlayStation Store from the PS5 home screen.
- Press the Triangle button to open the Store menu.
- Select … (More) > Redeem Code.
- Enter the 12-digit code, check the digits, then select Redeem.
- If the code grants downloadable content, select Download to install it now, or download it later from the relevant account’s library.
These PS5 steps are listed on PlayStation’s US voucher-code support page. A gift card adds funds to the PlayStation Store wallet; a game or add-on voucher grants the specified content.
Check the code and account before redeeming
- Use the right account. The credit or content is applied to the account that redeems the code. Voucher codes can be used once, and funds or content cannot be transferred to another account. Check the signed-in account before continuing.
- Match the account region. The voucher region must match the PlayStation account region. PlayStation says an account’s region cannot be changed after account setup; physical vouchers show the applicable country or region. See PlayStation’s voucher guidance and its country and region information.
- Know which kind of code you have. Store vouchers use 12-digit codes. A 10-digit code is a discount code for checkout, not the voucher-redemption menu.
- Check expiry and payment requirements. Some vouchers have an expiry date printed on them. Some subscription vouchers may require a valid payment method on the account.
- For a child account, involve the family manager. The family manager must redeem wallet top-up vouchers and can set the child account’s monthly spending limit.
Wallet funds can be used for PlayStation Store purchases and cannot be refunded. PlayStation’s wallet guidance is on its Canada support page; check local PlayStation guidance if you need country-specific details.
Other ways to redeem a code
If you are already using another device, PlayStation also lists browser and app redemption routes. In each case, make sure you are signed in to the account that should receive the value.

These routes are described by PlayStation Support. A 10-digit discount code is different: apply it during checkout rather than through Redeem Code.
If the code will not redeem
- Check every digit. For a physical card, reveal the full code carefully and make sure no digits are obscured or misread.
- Check that the voucher has not expired and that its region matches the account region.
- Count the digits: use the voucher flow for a 12-digit code; apply a 10-digit discount code at checkout.
- Check PlayStation service status. If no service issue is shown, sign out and back in to refresh the account.
- Review transaction history to see whether the code has already been redeemed. If it has not resolved the issue, contact PlayStation Support.

If redeemed content does not appear
Restart the PS5, then sign out and back in to the account used for redemption. Check that account’s transaction history or library for the content.
