If you bought an ordinary Avatar Shop item or an in-experience item with Robux, Roblox says the purchase generally can’t be refunded—even if it was accidental or you don’t like the item. The route is different for unauthorized charges, items that don’t work as described, and local-currency Paid Access purchases. Choose the case that matches your transaction below.
Can you refund a Roblox item bought with Robux?
Usually, no. Roblox Support says, “At this time, there is not a way to get Robux back once you have made a purchase.” That applies to ordinary Avatar Shop and in-experience virtual items, including purchases made by mistake or items you delete, don’t use, or dislike. See Roblox Support’s item-purchase guidance.
For future Avatar Shop purchases, review the item description and use Try On where it is available. Try On helps you check an eligible item before buying; it is not a refund option. The cited guidance also treats in-experience items as generally nonrefundable.
What to do if the item is broken or not as described
If an item does not work the way its description says it should, contact Roblox Support and explain the problem. Include your username, the item name, the item link, and a detailed description of what is wrong. Reporting a problem does not guarantee that Roblox will issue a refund.

What to do about an unauthorized Roblox charge
If you or the account holder did not authorize a purchase, first identify who processed it and involve the owner of the payment account. Roblox’s instructions differ by payment method; for some charges, it asks customers to contact Roblox before opening a dispute with the provider.
Credit or debit card, PayPal, and Google Play
Contact Roblox Support before disputing an eligible charge with your bank, PayPal, or Google Play. Roblox says it works with parents and customers on unauthorized purchases “Whenever possible,” but that is not a promise of a refund. Once a charge is disputed, the provider’s process may limit Roblox’s ability to issue a direct or immediate refund.

When you contact support, provide the charge date or dates and amounts, the billing name, the relevant payment identifier or email, and the Roblox username if known. Use the billing-question category that matches your issue.
Apple, Microsoft, PlayStation, Meta Quest, Samsung, or Amazon
If one of these services processed the transaction, request the refund from that service directly. Roblox says it cannot refund those transactions. Its unauthorized-charge instructions identify the relevant provider routes.

When Paid Access can be refunded
Paid Access is an entry fee for an experience, not an Avatar Shop item or an in-experience purchase. Roblox says a user who bought an experience’s Paid Access in local currency can request a refund within 48 hours of the first purchase. On desktop, web, or mobile, open the experience page and select Request Refund. A repurchase is not eligible under the cited guidance.
Paid Access purchased with Robux is generally final under the cited U.S. terms. Roblox’s 48-hour local-currency policy should not be read as a general refund window for virtual items. See Roblox’s refund guidance and its Terms of Use.

Information to include in a billing request
For a billing question, choose the matching category in Roblox’s support form. Include the payment type, transaction date or dates, amount or amounts, and any error message. For an unauthorized charge, also include the billing details and username described above.
Refunds, Robux, and account consequences
Roblox warns that it may remove Robux associated with a processed refund. It also warns that refund abuse or unauthorized purchases can lead to moderation, suspension, or account removal. These are Roblox’s stated policies, not a prediction about the outcome of any particular request; the appropriate support team or payment provider must assess an individual transaction.
