You can change a Livepush playlist while its YouTube stream is live: Livepush says you can swap videos, reorder them, or add clips without interrupting the broadcast. The public instructions explain how to add a video, but not the exact controls for replacing a particular playlist item or when a change to the video currently playing takes effect. Use the steps below to prepare and add the replacement, then verify the result in the dashboard and on YouTube.
Prepare the replacement video
Livepush’s help article describes adding a video to a Pre-recorded Live stream. If the replacement is already in the stream’s playlist, go to the active stream dashboard and inspect its current playlist controls. If it is not available yet, add it first:
- Open the relevant Pre-recorded Live stream in the Livepush dashboard.
- Select Add Video and upload the video or import it from Google Drive, Dropbox, or a downloadable web URL.
- Select the video and choose Add to Playlist.
These documented steps make a video available in the stream’s playlist. They do not specify how to remove or replace a particular existing entry.
Change the playlist while the stream is live
Livepush’s FAQ says that an active playlist can be edited while its stream is live: users can swap videos, reorder content, or add clips without interrupting the broadcast. In the dashboard for the running stream, inspect the playlist controls and use the available edit option to make the intended change. The exact replacement button labels and removal sequence are not described in the public instructions, so do not rely on a guessed control name.

After editing, check the dashboard preview and the live YouTube output. The available documentation does not say whether replacing the item currently on air cuts over immediately or waits until a later transition. If the timing matters, confirm it in the dashboard or with Livepush support before making a change during a critical broadcast.
Check plan access and looping separately
Livepush describes cloud-based pre-recorded broadcasts with YouTube as a destination on its product page. Its FAQ says on-air playlist editing is supported, but separate playlist guidance associates multi-video streaming and schedule editing with plans that include a 24/7 schedule channel. Check your current plan and terms to confirm access; no specific tier or price is established here.

Looping is a separate setting, not a stated prerequisite for editing a playlist. To repeat a playlist, Livepush’s guide dated January 25, 2025 says to open the Pre-recorded Live dashboard, turn on Loop Video, then go live or select Schedule For Later. The guide says playback continues until you manually stop the stream. See Livepush’s looping instructions.
If the replacement does not appear
- The video is not in the playlist: add or import it, then use Add to Playlist before editing the running playlist.
- You cannot find a live-edit control: confirm that you opened the correct running Pre-recorded Live stream, then check whether your current plan includes the relevant playlist features. Ask Livepush support if the control remains unavailable.
- The YouTube output has not changed: check the dashboard preview and allow for the possibility that the current item does not change immediately; the documented instructions do not establish cutover timing. Confirm the actual behavior before making further edits.
