You can run a continuous Hindi-song broadcast by sending a prepared playlist from FFmpeg to YouTube Live, but a loop alone does not make the stream unattended: you must have the rights to broadcast every recording and composition, supervise reconnection and process failures, and plan for YouTube’s archive limit. First enable YouTube Live, configure an encoder stream, then test your playlist privately or unlisted before relying on it.
Before you build the stream: confirm YouTube access and music rights
Enable live streaming and allow time for activation
Live streaming must be enabled for the channel. For a first-time enablement, YouTube says activation can take up to 24 hours, so do not wait until launch day to check. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. In the scheduled-stream workflow, YouTube instructs you to wait for the encoder preview and then click Go live. YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes this flow.
Clear rights for both the songs and recordings
A song broadcast involves rights in the composition and in the particular sound recording. Buying a track, subscribing to a music service, or having permission to listen does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it live. Use music you created or commissioned with documented rights, or obtain explicit permission covering livestreaming, the relevant territories, the recordings, compositions, and any archive you intend to keep.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If matched content remains, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even a license may not prevent a live interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID; ask the rights owner to confirm this before launch. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance explains matching and allowlisting.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to hold necessary rights, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Neither FFmpeg nor a hosting provider supplies those rights.
Set up YouTube Live and protect the stream key
- Open YouTube Studio and Live Control Room. Create a new stream or schedule one, and select the encoder workflow.
- Copy the ingest URL and stream key from the stream settings. Use the RTMPS URL shown by Live Control Room if you want encrypted ingest; do not assume an ordinary RTMP address is encrypted. YouTube describes RTMPS as RTMP carried over TLS/SSL. YouTube’s RTMPS instructions explain where to reveal and copy the address.
- Keep the key secret. Treat it like a password that lets an encoder send video to your channel. Do not publish it in a command, screenshot, repository, or log. If it is exposed, reset it in Live Control Room and update the encoder configuration.
- Check the connection in Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview and use YouTube’s Go live control when ready.
For RTMPS, Google’s developer documentation specifies the rtmps scheme, a valid YouTube ingest endpoint and path, port 443, and the correct hostname for TLS Server Name Indication (SNI). Use the exact endpoint provided for your stream rather than constructing a URL from an example. Google’s RTMPS ingestion guide was updated 2026-09-14 UTC.

Prepare the playlist and choose an FFmpeg workflow
Make the media predictable
Before sending anything to YouTube, inspect the playlist’s files and decide how FFmpeg will handle their audio, video, and timestamps. A static image or simple visual loop can accompany the songs, but the chosen workflow must produce a valid continuous audio/video output. Mixed codecs, differing stream layouts, and timestamp discontinuities can make a playlist fail at file boundaries. Whether to re-encode or stream-copy depends on the files and the workflow; test the actual media rather than assuming one playlist syntax will work for every collection.
Understand what the loop does—and does not do
An FFmpeg loop can repeat input, but it does not itself supervise a disconnected network session, restart a crashed process, alert you to silence, or ensure that YouTube accepts the next segment. The exact playlist syntax, timestamp handling, and reconnect behavior depend on the installed FFmpeg build and the input format. YouTube’s official encoder materials explain the ingest setup, not a canonical FFmpeg playlist or restart recipe.

For that reason, treat any command found elsewhere as version- and media-dependent. Validate it against the documentation for your installed FFmpeg version, and test the full path—from playlist boundary through YouTube ingest—before using it for a public continuous broadcast. This article does not provide a tested universal command; a command that works for one set of files or FFmpeg build may fail on another.
Test the broadcast before making it public
- Use a private or unlisted test stream. Confirm that YouTube receives a preview and that the picture and sound are correct before publishing.
- Let the playlist cross file boundaries. Check that audio does not go silent, video does not freeze, and playback resumes cleanly when one item ends and the next begins.
- Test failure recovery deliberately. Verify what happens if the network connection drops and if the FFmpeg process exits. Decide how you will notice either failure and restart the process; a loop flag alone is not a recovery plan.
- Check stream health while it runs. YouTube recommends monitoring audio and video quality. Make sure someone or an alerting arrangement can detect a bad feed rather than relying only on the fact that FFmpeg is running.
- Verify any local recording. If you are recording a backup, confirm that files are being created and are playable. An outgoing stream does not prove that a local archive is healthy.
- Review the channel’s live preview and rights status. Resolve third-party match warnings before depending on the stream, and do not assume a licensed track will pass Content ID without the relevant allowlisting.
Plan for interruptions and YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says live streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; broadcasts exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. A 24/7 stream therefore should not be presented as a guaranteed complete replay. If retaining the full program matters, record locally or design shorter, separate broadcasts, accounting for the added restart work and the effect on watch-page continuity. See YouTube’s archive guidance.

Local recording and stream continuity are separate jobs: test the recording path and the live connection independently. A local computer also depends on local power and connectivity; running FFmpeg on a hosted server moves that dependency to the host, but does not remove the need to monitor and recover the process. No particular host or reliability level is established here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does FFmpeg itself give me permission to stream Hindi songs?
No. FFmpeg is an encoder; you need the necessary rights to broadcast each composition and recording.
Can a 24/7 YouTube stream guarantee a full replay?
No. YouTube says streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured, so keep a tested local recording if a complete archive is essential.
